Well I'm sure there are guys with much shorter careers who would have hit those figures, but once you go north of 100, 200 or 250 games I don't think there's anyone remotely close..

Put it this way, if you look at his Pro12 record (202 Appearances), in terms of caps the nearest to him since Swifty retired is Scarlets prop Phil John (190 Appearances) who is twelve games behind John.

But Mul has played over 5,000 minutes more than him.....that's 62.5 games more in minutes played...!!

Yep Mul is definitely taken a wee bit for granted, but if you think about his stats for us over 13 years.
He's made:

202 Pro12 appearances,
56 ERC appearances.

A total of 18,110 mins played!
For an average of 70 mins per game...!.

That is amazing, I doubt there is a player in the Pro era that comes close in such an attritional position and with such a lengthy career!

Last season he missed one game in either competition, one game at 32 years old with Twelve seasons of pro rugby behind him, that is superhuman...!!!

Great to see Mul getting another year, he's playing the best rugby of his career since Pat got here.

He is proving to be evergreen. A couple of seasons ago I thought John's best was behind him and was expecting him to fade off into the sunset as someone younger displaced him. Well, he bounced back last season and has continued on this season, remaining an important part of this team. Glad he'll be back for at least another season and hopefully it will include Champions Cup rugby.

Great news. We probably take Mul for granted a bit as he's part of the furniture at the Sportsground at this stage. He's playing his best rugby in years at the moment and his consistency in particular has been outstanding. I've said this on the forum before but I never have a good feeling when he's not playing. He's the most reliable player in the squad and hopefully he has a few more years left in the tank yet.

Yeah there are a couple of bugs with the version of the forum software we use. The other annoying one is the dates not appearing properly on mobile devices. And there is that issue where if you go to page 2 of a list you can't get back to page 1. I had planned to upgrade it over Christmas, but then Indiana Jones and whiskey intervened.

I'd suggest changing the Message Order in by:

• ]Going in to your Profile from Tab above..
• Selecting the Edit button (on the right opposite your Avatar image...
• Then select Forum Settings Tab, and change to "Last Post First", when you go into a thread the latest post is the one you see first...

So if you look at players yet to be re-signed, putting Henshaw and AhYou into brackets, there are 2 players to enlist in emergency :Muldowney and Heenan. The 2 closest to the international standard in the list IMO, and would be very hardly replaced as such.

More exciting academy players in Connacht graduating onto senior contracts. Peter Robb and Sean O'Brien get the promotion next season.

Healy's signed on for another couple of years. That's a massive relief, I was sure Munster would come sniffing if they lose Zebo
