No. Announcement included statement that he would be released to blues at no charge but that wru could not guarantee selection at blues. I presume last piece was an olive branch to blues independence

Makes sense him being the captain of Wales. Lead by example etc. I wonder will he move clubs to say the Dragons if the other regions keep playing hardball?

Bristol have been bought by a sugeedaddy and are investing accordingly. They expect to be in premiership next season but can expect a fight for that spot. Its also just over the bridge which is commutable from Wales or vice versa.

Craig Mitchell bucks the trend and signs 3 yr deal with Cardiff blues from Exeter chiefs.

Of course, if he's willing to risk playing in the championship (assuming the contract isn't void if they don't move up) it also highlights that it's all about the money and has nothing to do with the level of competition that the RaboPro 12 provides.

The Welsh regions are destroying themselves. There doesnt seem to be any money to keep the big players. Its a pity really and it will have a bad effect on the league and rugby in Wales.
Wales could be fielding a side where 12-15 of the squad arent playing in Wales.

Ryan Jones has being linked wiht Bristol! :blink: No offense to Bristol but if a former Grand Slamming Captain is thinking of moving there a team who would be well down in the League then the Welsh regions are in big trouble.
