Capacity of 9,500 might just be a sticking point, but who knows, needs must. Think the Clan bar would need a major extension

With the threat to the HCup meaning this could be the last year I'd imagine the Italians would be interested in moving up from the 2015 slot.

Not sure why France pulled out, though. Parc des Princes has been used as a final venue before, no reason it can't be used again.

London, Dublin and Cardiff have all been used recently, if Italy and France can't host it should probably go to Scotland

Would be proper alright. Some of the other rugby forum's are suggesting Italy is already lined up for 2015.

With France pulling out, any Union wishing to hold the finals have to submit a proposal to the ERC. WRU only ones to do so at the moment.

Agreed if they want to start spreading rugby then Italy needs to hold at least one final and Rome is pretty easy to get to.

Just posted by the ERC.

The Welsh Rugby Union has confirmed they are bidding for Cardiff to stage next season's (2014) Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup finals.

The French Rugby Federation (FFR) withdrew their application on Friday due to doubts over the availability of the Stade de France.

European Rugby Cup (ERC) announced that bids from other cities would be welcomed, with a decision to be made by the end of the month.
