Anyone know what his disciplinary record is like? Is he a hothead or was this an out of character thing?

I'm very surprised, but I guess if there's reasonable doubt it can be the only possible outcome.

Why he was clearing out a ruck that was already over, and grabbing the shorts instead of the leg, and underneath the shorts in a spot that would not have helped him in his attempt to clear out only he knows.

Fair play to Strauss, quite a relief. Even if there was no intention I'm surprised they didn't nail him for being "reckless".

The incident didn't show So'oialo in a good light but glossing over that, it's great news for Connacht.

He looked decent in the last three games and appears to be a good goal kicker. The last point could be key next season. Dan Parks has a kicking game but can't get the outside backs moving. Might Connacht be better off next season plugging So'oialo into one of the full back or wing positions to kick goals if Miah Nikora or Craig Ronaldson can bring the best out of those numbered 11-15?

Ref couldn't see it, but he'll probably be cited. A mid range sanction for going for the testicles is 18 weeks

And if its not clear on the replay the Saffers reaction is still a good indication.

He might get off, won't mean he's innocent, though.
