Plenty of players have failed to get past Peter Stringer.
Defence was never a point of criticism for him at any level, and it's why at 35/36 he's still playing top class rugby...
Darragh had six starts for Connacht during his one season contract, personally I thought he looked a decent prospect and couldn't understand why we didn't hold on to him for another year. But coaches get to see other things too I suppose...
Just my opinion, but he never once impressed me, and the game that I'm thinking of, Fanning had two brilliant chances when he was clean through, with only Stringer opposing him. Neither time did he try to get around Stringer, or offload, both times, he ran straight at Stringer, and was brought down easily

Montpellier: Barry Faamausili committed until 2015
On Thursday, the club Montpellier formalized the contract extension Faamausili Barry (24), right pillar arrived as a medical joker Kevin Kervarec in September. After playing seven games so far including a Top 14 as a starter, he signed for two more seasons with the MHR .
On the club's website, he also confessed that he had been in contact with Bordeaux -Begles, before explaining why he stayed with the club Herault: " Yes, I was in telephone contact with them some time ago. At the time, I did not really know if I wanted to join ... It was really 50/50. (...) In Montpellier, I made friends such that Alex Tulou , Jim Nagusa and Taleta Tupuloa. I love the life I lead here. Besides that, the dream of every player is to play rugby at the highest level and I think Fabian and Mario are now create the conditions for this to happen here in Montpellier . "

Flannery last night tweeted about his role for the first time. He wrote: "First impressions, honored (sic) to be here, great club, great people. Next up some big tackles & big throw-ins."
A spokesperson for Arsenal said: "To confirm, we have both Jerry Flannery and Johnny O'Connor starting internships with us at our Youth Academy."

The other 2 pundits and the presenter can cover the Irish punditry. Its what BBC alba do and will keep people like me whose Irish isn't as fluent as it should be listening to the commentary and hopefully learn a bit as well as enjoy the game more.
I was impressed with how well Jerry did at the Gaeilge. Also cos he's not a fluent speaker makes him easier to understand. I'd like to see more hookers and less government press secretaries analysing the game in any language.
I suppose Locks has that gig to look forward to whenever he hangs up the boots (TG4 analyst, not government press secretary).

Not sure if that's in addition to JOC, but it could mean JOC isn't going there.

Flav has a science degree and teaching postgrad, met his parents at a Connacht match a few years ago and they said teaching/coaching was the post-retirement plan. Delighted for him if that's true.
