He tweeted that its knee ligament damage and that he will be out for a few months.
Hopefully he will be back in feb.
This is a massive lose. Hopefully Andrew Browne can step up to the mark and Heffernan and Anderson should be trying to grab that 6 shirt as well.. Gutted for Mul.

Yeah had similar sort of injury a couple of seasons back (Hyper-extension of the knee), similar situation running a support line for my team-mate who was tackled and driven straight back and landed on my weight bearing leg. Probably had a split second longer to get my leg out of the way (I move a lot slower...) so only ended up with ligament strain, still was out for six weeks... :pinch:

In the backs Robbie Henshaw, Tiernan O’Halloran and Mata Fifita, as well as the centre partnership of Eoin Griffin and Dave McSharry, all picked up knocks from Saturday night’s defeat at the Sportsground. Up front, Mike McCarthy and Adrian Flavin are also nursing injuries.
Young South African centre Danie Poolman will train with the squad after returning from a week in Germany where he underwent intensive treatment on a hamstring injury.
Andrew Browne, Gavin Duffy, Matt Healy, Mark McCrea, Paul O’Donohoe, Ethienne Reynecke and Kyle Tonetti still remain unavailable for selection due to injury.
No sense of severity of the injuries though.

Off topic, but I'm sensing a massive difference in the way Connacht are being covered by the media this season. It's almost like we're <gasp> just like the other three provinces!

"Connacht are reporting a few knocks, but nothing major following their impressive 22-30 losing performance against Harlequins. They also expect South African wing Danie Poolman to be available for selection for Friday's match against the Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium."
