Oh Gawd Paterson  Might as well put aside 20 mins of this game for re-setting scrums then.

We have our buddy back this season, Leighton Hodges to us is like Nigel Owens is to Munster.
Leighton Hodges has/will ref us 5 out of the last 12 games. Seems a little too much but the players must be able to read him so well now. no excuses. He's not the worse!!

He's definitely a homer, don't know how many times he blew the whistle on Saturday after the crowd bayed for it...

And in the end it looks like he absolutely favoured us. Or so Solomons thought after the match:

"I think we got blown off the field in the second half to be perfectly honest. I want to go and have a closer look at the film before making a comment, but certainly we were blown out of that game. He (the referee) had a major influence, you look at the penalty count."

I've had a quick look at Blessano's penalty distribution in the Pro12 and Amlin this year.
GameHomeAway
Dragons v Ulster913
Blues v Connacht418
London Irish v Lusitanos27
Worcester v Oyonnax516
Total2054

This is without the stats from the Edinburgh game because they're not out yet, but at one point in the first half it was 1-6 in our favour. It's clear Blessano is a great ref to have if you're playing at home, even if you ignore the LI v Lusitanos game, which was men against boys.

don't want him to favour us, I just want him to be consistent to both teams (unlike in Cardiff)

The ref for Saturday is the clown that reffed us in Cardiff in round 2; this is his first game in the competition since screwing us and getting de-listed.

Refs named for round 5+6, Neil Paterson is coming to the sportsground for the 2nd time this season in round 5.

We have Leighton Hodges in round 6, 3rd time so far this season so no excuse from the players, they should know what he likes and doesnt like. He was also our ref at home vs Toulouse.

Both pernickity little sh*ts really especially Hodges, he has the same snooty bearing as Clancy...

If we can stay on the right side of both we should be ok, there won't be much flow from either as they're both whistle happy so our set pieces will need to be bang on though...

Looking at the stats you can at least make the excuse of inexperience for the Italian ref Claudio Blessano who reffed us off the pitch against Cardiff but what is David Wilkinson's excuse?
