The youngsters we have will come good, why pay an over the hill Stand Off good money to bring on the youngsters??? we are already doing that with Eric.

i dont know what team you have been watching all season but the team ive been watching has been crying out for a 10 who plays the game in the opponents half and rewards team effort with points from the boot.

Exactly! I started the thread to see if anyone has heard anything more concrete than pure rumour - it seems they haven't. Fingers crossed, but I suspect this is a red herring.

From what I have heard from a few Blues supporters is that if you just want a kicking Fly Half then fine. But that's it, he cannot get what is a very good Blues backline to fire on all cyllinders, every time they get up a head of steam he attempts a drop goal or kicks the possesion away. If that is what some of our supporters want then that is OK. I personally wouldn't want to do away with our up and coming backs as I think they have great potential.(But not if the don't get the ball).
His best days are behind him !!! so it'a a negative for me.
what we need is an old head who can still play and has a good record, he sure has that.
NOC and jarvis need someone to look up to and learn how to change a game plan if its not working.
nikora is not a starter for me. he spent to long behind keatley and never got going.
if he choices to take drop kicks and they go over and we win then i dont mind at all.
win is by far the most inportant part of a pro team.

I wudnt agree wit you tho that they can put all their efforts into player recruitment this year. i think a 60/40 split in favour of player recruitment
with emphasis on decent profile signings like parks the priority.
they did a lot of good work with new clan, college and bohermore terraces. there were mistakes or corners cut on them tho and need to be rectified preseason. examples are realignment of barriers on clan terrace and clearly marked walkways etc. bohermore terrace needs concrete footpaths to track installed and barriers/clearly marked walkways installed on terrace itself.college road terrace needs new permanent entrance on clan side(causes obstruction in current position)and ugrades similar to bohermore terrace.
toilets are also required at entrance area of clubhouse side to accom clan and college road terrace patrons.
on main stand side new extra toilets are required as a matter of urgency and new perm tv camera stand which doesnt cause obstruction to paying enclosed stand patrons installed.
all of these are small jobs taken in isolation but combined require pgb attention.
for the record phase 3 should be the building of a permanent seated stand where temp one is currently situated.
