And Rodney replaced by Bealham after 27 minutes on the pitch.

Really have no idea what Pat is waiting for to bring on fresh legs in pack.

Dreadful absolutely dreadful mistake from Mul and Marmion to lose the ball at the scrum...
Absolutely ameteur hour there....

Absolute savage..

Game a long way from over despite being 5-21. Edinburgh are lively enough and if we slip off 10% look good enough to hurt us...

Tiernan back on and in absolutely no man's land to let Edinburgh in for try number two.

Rodney also gave away second penalty advantage for coming in from side of maul...

Also, has Connacht ever played a more dominant first half as that? 0-14 half time and should have been more.

In general excellent effort in Edinburgh, perhaps a bit of whit line fever.

Really poor effort by Dani [who's generally been good] for try, even if he was 45° lower he was in. To be so vertical going in was criminally lazy. Forwards got him out of jail. Reality can't be any issue about Jake getting a new contract.

Tiernan FFS, another lazy tackle in a generally ineffective first half from him.

Uh oh, Rodney's on for second half (must be part of the the deal with Joe)

Rodney's first contribution, giving penalty away for entering maul from side after excellent work by Muldowney to pretty much stop the drive.... FFS

Edinburgh's outside backs look nippy enough, as they did in first half....

Next score Connacht...

Two bad defensive reads by Quin Roux put us under pressure there

Edit: And Tiernans moment of madness as well obviously

Edit 2: Shades of O'Hallorans try against Munster for Bundee there!

Almost the perfect first half. Having got the chance to clear our lines at the end we should have found touch and the yellow is the only real negative. We have played some great stuff and have got on top at scrum time. Connacht crowd in good voice also.

A try for Edinburgh would change things and Du Preez opened up our defence with one pass late in the half. Still plenty to do but we're in a good position.

Maybe this... connachttribune.ie/connacht-rugby-set-to...new-home-option-301/

It's not exactly Toulouse, but it's not the pittance we used to run on.

Glad to see Quin back, but my only worry is that he will probably only last 45 - 50 minutes due to lack of game time

On our ball I'd actually use Jake as primary carrier off the back or even SOB2 who is a genuine eight, don't think we've got an option than Jake who covers the ground quicker though. Mul is an International quality six, proved it over and over and over again. But playing him at eight is like England insisting on playing Robshaw at Seven...

No it was mostly spent on a swing bridge across Lough Atalia to facilitate matchday crowds coming in. They got the idea from Toulouse.

Heard most it has been used in for a planned extension to The Dail to facilitate the connacht supporters. Rumours has it multiple 90 inch Ultra HD 3D TVs to be installed with state of the art surround sound. No expense spared
