Otherwise I don't know how much effort NZ might put in to get him back home. They seem to have an assembly line that produces centres of his ilk and will they want a 27 year old model that has been playing outside the SH for 3 years or a newer model at home?
Think your right. his age might just be a little bit against him for a All Black place.
NZ more than anyone else are always looking to the next WRC and he would be 31 at that stage.
Money in France might temp him away but hopefully the IRFU (if they can get their heads out of their backside) can see the potential of keeping him here.

Please stop this kind of thing. I'm generally a glass half empty person but it's bad enough listening to this for players who are out of contract in 2016 without looking further down the track. Perhaps he will leave when his contract is up but that's for himself and the money men to sort out. From our point of view let's enjoy how things are going and lets enjoy the quality we have at our disposal. We've put up with years of utter misery supporting Connacht, let's appreciate this time rather than constantly looking over the horizon for signs of trouble.

My thinking is if he stays in Ireland he'd stay with us, but there will be bigger teams than Leinster and Munster looking at him. Moving back to NZ will be an option all right, his current form has him in any team in the world including the All Blacks, and if he wants to move on to England/France he always has the option of playing for Samoa.
Wouldn't begrudge him any of those, bar moving to one of the other Irish provinces

To where? Munster? Why on earth would he do that? The other provinces aren't short of centres and you'd imagine he'll stay in Ireland to get capped.
He may do, depends entirely on his own motivations. HIs declared intention when he left NZ was to play for Connacht and look to get an Irish Cap along the way - www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/...ersey-as-he-quits-NZ
.
But there's bound to be a lot of clubs with huge cheque books already looking enviously in our direction.
Not trying to put the sh*t's under people but don't be surprised to see the NZRU look to bring him back down under too. His form is exceptional over last fourteen months, by any standard anywhere in the world.
Will be a very interesting conversation with the IRFU when 2017 comes that's for sure, will they be able to afford to keep a just recent IQ player.

Well done lads I'm starting to belive that we can beat anybody if the weather is dry and our forwards are very powerful in the scrum for the dirty days. But do they have to give me heart attacks every match. !!!! Our defence turns off for at least twenty every game. Watching leinster now they have a mean defence, hope we can break it down connacht abu!!!!!!!
Agreed not good for the ol' ticker, but at least we're getting the wins, lots of years of snatching defeat (or having defeats stolen from us by poor officiating) from the jaws of victory.....
We're a side who under Lam know how to get something out of every different type of game now...
Not sure what the future hold with AJ and Connacht, but as he's getting more game time we're seeing a lot more of what he has to offer. He's far ahead of Carty in terms of physicality at flyhalf, and wee bit behind Craig. With his current and previous RWC form, got to think that other clubs will be keeping an eye on him UK/FRance), not necessarily as first choice in their setups...

"That was never a try I assume we're going for the yellow card"
To which Whitehouse replied
" We'll go back for the penalty John and I will decide whether it is a penalty or not."
Could have backfired but it was a good moment.
