Exactly what came to mind except this time we've no Hodges to blame - purely down to us..
Could argue ruck at end could been a penalty for us but we put ourselves in that scenario where we needed it
Thought ref was good - Dillane lucky not to get binned in second half for no arm tackle

So sickened by that result. I don't think it should have been a yellow card (and I'm normally the one highlighting player safety) but even so he's come in from the side and was always likely to concede a penalty. So gutted after what was a very good performance, the type of game that we needed to play the last few weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if Lam targeted this game from weeks out, he has previous when it comes to tactical switches like that.

Some solid play by the pack. Masterson seems to be everywhere.
Tiernan's been very lively from fullback.

I got my wish for more tactical kicking! :cheer:

i thought Healy's second "try" was a knock on alright but I'm still sour over the earlier Masterson decision and the stray hand which led to it
The TMO is gonna give us nothing anyway - but sure we're used to that :)

I'm worried. This game is like Cardiff last year. It should be over at this stage. They were correct on Healy's 2nd try but the Welsh TMO is once again showcasing how this league can't be taken seriously until there is neutral officials. Seeing the late hit on Bundee yellow was fair enough but what about the clear late hit in the first minute. Conveniently he didn't see that. To be fair Marius Mitrea has given us one or two dodgy calls. We'll be up against it in the 2nd half. Carty has pinned them in well at times. We have to stop giving them targets to hit and trying to over-elaborate and sometimes just put it in behind them and make them chase the game.

I think Marius must be Connacht's biggest fan, he looked absolutely gutted to have to rule out that Healy try! Really happy with the second twenty of that half, pitch looks an absolute state now though which may start to increasingly influence the game. Missed the first five or six minutes, what happened to Browne?

The f**king pace of Healy :woohoo:

We've played better this year but 10-0 up with another perfectly good try chalked off is good going so far B)

what ever about the grounding over Mastersons disallowed try - how did the officials miss the hands in the ruck which led to it

But Santa let me down :-(

i would like to see us kick ourselves out of trouble sometimes, would like to see Bundee getting on the end of off loads from other players and in a bit of space, would like to see one of our forwards break the line and go on the rampage, would like to see us keep our systems that have served us well but sometimes i would like to see pure Connacht chaos, green shirts swarming all over the oppoition at such speed they havent a clue how to react. Most of all i would like us to win for the players sake because they seem a great bunch of lads and they do us proud every week. Tear into them lads and may the referee gods be always fair!!

After tonight down to 4th but decent night with Ospreys picking up nothing at home to Leinster and Edinburgh just picking up just the 4 at home to Treviso.

Our team is ok. Disappointed not to see Poolman back, its getting a bit frustrating at this stage, always seems to be ready to come back without making it onto the squad.

This time is different, we have two openside flankers too with Masterson
