But in all honesty I think Pat should have more positive headaches for Cardiff than the reverse
How to include Leader McSharry Finn and Healy whereas Parata and Carr did well? Even without talking about Henshaw for now
Same for Heenan and Fox, Muldowney and Browne/Dillane
Which is very good because we seem to have the depth to play (and win) Challenge Cup with massive rotations without losses in quality
Loughney is the one I'd like to come back to his best soon

Thought the neck roll on Muldoon was a clear yellow esp with regard to the pre season briefing the refs got this year, but then we avoided going to the TMO prior to our last try so I suppose that evened it out (that was a two point decision which could be vital at year end).
Very frustrating game to watch. I thought Nepia-fox Matamua had a blinder, lots of tackles a turnover or two and a try, he could be a real gem.
I thought we played too much rugby in our own 22, and seemed to go wide too quickly too often with little or no gain in ground after 4 or 5 passes.
Onwards and upwards hopefully !!
Courage is knowing what lies on the other side and still opening the door.

Strange, strange game. Still trying to get my head round it all. Still. Over the piece, happy to get away with four points. Massive thumbs up to your guys for turning the game on it head, with a little help from both the ref (he was mostly ours in first half) and our young lads inexperience against a committed pack. If you play like that in the second half for the full game you will be up there at end of season knocking on the door for play offs.
Many thanks to your travelling Clan, Ciaran, Padraig etc. Pennant will be up in Waxys shortly. Even made it on to the telly. Hope they all had a great time and safe travel back guys. See you in May.

i think there will be worse second strings we will face over the next 8 weeks, i thought overall they had a good structure to their game up until midway through the second half. our own second string seems to be maturing which is a good sign for the future. Marmion seems to have rediscovered his spark, carty had another solid game but probably should have kicked a bit more in the first half. looking forward now to the revenge match against Cardiff in 3 weeks time

In that first 41 mins we got enough luck and decisions in our favour from the referee to last an entire season! Fair play to Connacht for turning things around, actually playing nice offloading attacking rugby and in the end very unlucky not to sneak the win.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

We actually didn't. It was 3 converted tries and four penalties.
That's right - they kicked instead of going for the jugular on 68 minutes. Feels like a 5 pointer though.

At least we get to sleep at the top of the table. It will help us acclimatise in case we need to spend much time in the top half.

After 50 min, 30-6 down I was So So right
But then, we showed character, and even if our defence wasn't good enough, with tacklers melting down in front of any hot attack, 2 points is smth I'd take happily enough from the Scotsound

Ref gave them the first half and us the second. Pity we couldn't have asserted our scrum dominance sooner. Paratta was very good as was Masterson.
3 points lost unfortunately  That Glasgow team is poor and we let them away with it.

I was a fan of Cooney last season but wasn't at the races tonight. Marmion definitely has nailed down scrum half for the near future on tonight.
2nd half we showed what we can do but lads would want to take a good look at themselves after that opening half effort.
