The clan really was immense last night. My throat is gone and I'm still exhausted after that.
I watched the game again this morning on TG4 and the clan really looked the part, especially at the end when we were screaming to kick the ball out. Even the TG4 commentators were shouting to kick the ball out.
Last night alone was worth paying for the season ticket.

Missed Robbie's tackle on Goppert, but I'm quite the fan of this one.

I'm not going to reiterate what's been said about team performance last night (I was buzzing the whole way through work after).
However, I will say, from the perspective of someone on the outside (so to speak) looking in, the Clan were an absolute credit last night. Ye created a wonderful atmosphere to accompany a cracking game (and contribute to a few bouts of goosebumps!)
More power to ye lads and lassies!

Edit: I've shared a short video of ye in action to the Clan Facebook page

So proud of the team tonight- fought to the end, even looking for the extra score to deny them the bonus point. Last 10 mins in particular had us needing a defibrillator- hours later (and a few pints) heart returning to normal. Marmion well deserved Man of the Match. Buckley grown to dictate play.. Respect

First thoughts...

Muldowney was unlucky not to get Man of the Match.

This should be an end to the Madigan at 12 for Ireland bull. Kearney might have ended up on his backside, but Madigan shooting out of the line opened the door. Kearnashian the elder didn't have a chance of stopping Marmion.

Reddan is a flat-track bully. Boss - limited but honest - having to drop out was a gift for us. Marmion is the real deal.

We protected our ball at the ruck brilliantly until we crossed the Leinster 10 metre line. Then it seemed to be a competition to see who could give away a penalty first. More composure required.

Just back home after that. Was breathalised on Merchants Road, ended up having a good natter to the Guard about the game.

Seriously impressive stuff from the lads tonight. Marmions try was pure class, but it was only the high point of a great allround game.

Robbie put in some massive, massive tackles. He was all over the pitch too. Leader was steady as a rock in the back. The scrum wasn't as domineering as it had been in the last few weeks, but we kept it up when we needed to, the last scum (which two years ago we would've been knackered for) was perfect. Huge aggression for all the forwards too, Mul was in flying form, Big George had some great carries.

I don't think Leinster played as well as they could've. The disallowed try seemed to take the wind out of their sails hugely.

Great athmosphere in there too. the chant of "we're top of the league" at the 80 minutes was great, long may it be repeated.

3 from 3, the first time any team has won their first three games. 12 points in the bag. You'd have to think (and rightly so) that there's huge confidence in the team now. Roll on the rest of the season.

One of the greatest improvement was : very very few knock-ons except on some high balls. I've never ever seen such a proper handling management, in wet and windy condition on top of that

great game, immense effort from the team, still got the image in my head of Kearney on the flat of his back twice, first time when Marmion shimmied around him and then a 2nd time when McShaz lined him up and dumped him backwards. Marmion is the real deal, Buckley is showing great maturity and is turning into a smart prop. what was great to watch was when Leinster up the intensity we upped our defense, Lacey got stuck into us in the first half but i think when he realised we were a match for them he started giving us a few pens, Hopefully a few of the bit part players will be picked to start next week, some of the key players should be rested, we should'nt even be thinking of competing against Glasgow and instead we should be picking our battles wisely, there are better opportunities in the coming weeks to get points on the board.

I'll gladly take it, the reason for a lot of the negativity was that we knew we were better than large parts of that performance and the team proved that tonight.

The above makes for great reading this evening. Looking back at last season, at the end of January we were stuck on just 12 points which puts this years start in context.

Again we started sloppy, got on the wrong side of the ref and it looked like it was going to be a long night but we worked our way into it and hung in there, holding Leinster out while Muldoon was off and the penalty on Leinsters scrum on 40 minutes turned the game. There was a certain Karma to Leinster's try being disallowed for a forward pass after last year's debacle.

Marmion's try was pure class, almost got away for a 2nd which would have made thing a bit more comfortable but to hold Leinster scoreless in the 2nd half is a fair achievement. When you see Leinster butchering a certain try in the corner you start to think it'll be your night.

Still lots to work on, lineout was sloppy, scrum started out poorly but charged into the game then. Carty really should have kicked the penalty in the first half and we need to stop taking on pot shots at goal from inside our own half, they are 1 in a 1000 chance. We are much improved at ruck time from last season but still are giving away too many sloppy penalties, we were unlucky with a couple of penalties I felt but got some breaks in the 2nd half which were needed.

We were at sixes and sevens early on in defence but got ourselves together. Keeping the opposition to 11, 13 and 9 always gives you a chance of victory.

I thought Carty worked his way into the game but was impressed how Ronaldson showed the composure to keep us on the front foot near the end.

If we are in a tight finish again I hope the lads will kick the ball out, I don't think my heart or my voice can hold up to that again!

Delighted, one of our best wins in a number of years I'd say, Leinster meant business and we were coming off a bit of a run, we were out of it early but stormed back into it. Everyone went away in great form. Some serious hits went in and the body count will be tough early next week.

Faloon doesn't look good for the next couple of games so might need to do a bit of switching in the back row. Others picked up knocks which we'll have to hope aren't serious.

While we want to keep the momentum going I think we need to be smart too. I'd be tempted to rotate a bit next week and get the lads back for the Cardiff and Treviso games. These wins are fantastic but its the likes of the Cardiff and Treviso games that will decide our season.

Hope everyone enjoys the night, the atmosphere was brilliant, hope we have as big a crowd for Cardiff in two weeks time.

Epic match. Three in a row lads! the boys are dying on the pitch for each other and the jersey till the last minute of every match, fantastic to watch and the fans gave it their all also in response.
We can still improve in attack a good bit but our defence was fabulous like a brick wall.
With new guys like aki and mils bolstering the squad we are hopefully building to something special this year and further ahead but we have to continue fight for every point.
Lots of lads put their hands up for contention with Ireland today by doing a number on their leinster counterparts, Well done all!.
