King is very highly thought of in England, and remember, Schmidt worked under Vern Cotter at Clermont and look what he has brought to Leinster.

The article was about Cronin staying at Leinster but the piece about the new coach read as follows:
"Sears was also annoyed that short-list of candidates to replace Eric Elwood as coach appeared in a newspaper report - it is understood that the front-runners are former Ospreys coach Sean Holley and Alex King, the former England Fly-Half currently assistant coach at Clermont Auvergne"
