Maybe King's non-availability until the summer counted against him. The other lads would all be availeblt to immediately start working instead of or beside Eric and get our signings for next year sorted out.
Excellent point Salmson.
Could be a money thing too

I believe this decision will make or break them. If they hire somebody that proves to be a flop it could be disastrous. If they hire a success they are fully justified in their positions!
I tend to agree, but only because EOS was left out in the cold. I personally was happy enough that they passed on his services, but if the new man fails it will be too easy for people to say you had one of Ireland's most successful coaches available and never gave him serious consideration. Not having any inside knowledge of the process I'm not sure that is accurate, but it is the common perception. Since the field of candidates wasn't as strong as I was initially led to believe, I don't feel this would have otherwise been the making or breaking of them and it probably won't since few have been held to account in the past.

That's what it looks like to me too.

Porterbelly knows something.
The next question is who knows Porterbellys sweet spot to get the information from him?
Would the clan fund this?

Confirmed here!
Well that rules him out so it looks like it is between Lam and Hanks.
All of a sudden I have lost a lot of the excitement that I had for the new head coach
Exact same, thought that King would have been brilliant, wait, is it definitely too late to give O'Sullivan a call for the job? Not a big fan of the rest being honest, but will see, just hope that they make the right decision.

Of the above I'd be happy with King or Lam, definitely not Hanks though. I'm glad that there's no mention of promoting from within as we definitely need new blood at the top.
