If we are then questions have to be asked why.

A hooker did leave, I think it was Dermot Murphy but I could have the name wrong.

I heard about the AIL boys I just think its interesting that we picked Sweeney he was a decent player and I for one wouldn't be to up-set if her came back as a 3rd choice. He wouldn't cost the earth either. I could have sworn O'Byrne left last year but if he's there fair play. I still find the whole Boland thing odd though.

Is anyone going to this game?

Yes Rossie, he's still in the academy, and Boland isn't.

(You'll have to look for the academy link on the website yourself, that bloody link inserter doesn't always work.)

The team sheet blurb says they've added AIL players as some of the academy are required to cover for Friday night in Glasgow, so that answers the questions about Sweeney and Boland.

o byrne played against munster a in august if i recall rightly. boland apparantly walked away from acadamy contract after being told that he had no future at connacht beyond year 3 of acadamy. he obviously has had a change of heart.

O'Byrne was realeased last season. The one I find interesting is Rob Sweeney who played for us 2 seasons ago being brought back. Emergency cover? We also have Callum Boland playing at 15 and he's not in the academy anymore apparently yet he's still starting for the Eagles? I find that slightly baffling.

I note the Academy hooker Kevin O'Byrne is not there either.
