Am not on that flight, but there's a few heading over, I believe they're getting a TGV that evening to Montpellier from Part Dieu station

Friday 9th Jan, DUB-LYS 11.00-14.10.
Monday 12th Jan, LYS-DUB 14.50-16.05.
Staying in the Hôtel Oceania Le Métropole for the 3 nights.
 

Out Aerlingus Friday to Paris too 6:40 and down to Montpellier on the TGV (SNCF card gets 30% off for 12 months so well worth buying in advance)
Back Monday from Lyon.
Staying in Hotel Oceania Le Metropole too.
Anywhere near Place de la Comédie is best place to stay.

Flying out to Paris on Friday with Aer Lingus and going to TGV down to Montpellier. 
Coming Back via Lyon on the Monday (Afternoon) with Aer Lingus    
Staying in the Hôtel Oceania Le Métropole for 3 nights.
