Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

mikey wrote: I'm curious regarding trains from Barcelona to Perpignan. Having booked a flight on the Friday depart Dublin around 12.15 ,it's not arriving in time for the last train to Perpignan out of Barcelona. I can't seem to find any late evening departures. It means a bus ....3.30 minutes traveling time....feck that!
There's just 4 direct trains from Barcelona to France, and none after 4:45pm it's mad when you think about it.
if you're afraid of bus, you're staying in Barcelona for the night, and then getting the 8:20 or 9:30 am, or the 1:30pm train Saturday. There's a few clan on the 1:30 pm train Saturday.
The 8pm buses are showing as 2.5hrs or so, you have a a drink or do, and some decent food before the bus. FlixBus usually have free wifi, stick some podcasts or some films or tv show on the phone and the time will fly.
you can make the trip by local trains after 5pm, but it's much much slower than the fast trains, and even slower than the bus, and there's at least 1 change on the way.

I'm USAP fan and member of our supporters 'club : LES BARRETINES with our President JEAN MARC .
We came on our last opposition on the 8th december of 2018 in GALWAY and we were very well received in your MURTY RABBITS bar for a friendly meeting ...

So , we want to receive you if you come in PERPIGNAN on the 15th december 2024 for our game....
We've a magnificent local just near our stadium , AIME GIRAL , we will be happy and proud if you can visit it on the day of the game for a meal and drink together ...
The match is at 14h , so we can prepair the meal to be served around noon by opening the doors at 11 am ....or may be organized the eve around 8 pm ????
Please tell us what do you think or prefer and first of all : DO YOU COME and HOW MANY fans ?

I booked the night train from Austerlitz at 21:22 on Friday if anyone else is coming on the Pinkygnan Express. €39 in first.
from experience heading to Brive, Austerlitz is a nice and tidy station, but there wasnt much in terms of shopping don't forget to pop into a store beforehand for grub/drinks (vin)
the route seems to go the coastal route from Montpelier, the scenery is stunning, so do wake up and enjoy the view
So, he shouldn't do what he did on Parma - Rome/Naples Train then ?

it's a small enough center, tbh 15/20 mins walk would cover most of it
there's buses from center to the ground too, less than 10 mins. I recall we walked back in last time after the game.Ryano wrote: I see the stadium isnt too far out so is probably walkable from the centre of town too.

Pulled the trigger on this one.
Out With Aer Lingus on Saturday 14th and Back with Ryanair on Monday 16th to Barcelona.
Got a decent rate in the Mercure Perpignan, fairly central.
Train Timetable goes up to Saturday 15th December!!! So will give it a few more weeks.
SNCF have prices for the Saturday live, Renfe don't have anything up for Dec.
SNCF 13:25 from Sants is their only direct train (on the timetable for Dec) that'll work with the Aer Lingus flight in, train from airport to Sants, you'll have less than than 90 mins to wait, all going well. Sants station is about 25 mins from Airport.
Renfe will have a train hopefully around 16:30
SNCF have a 16:00ish train on the timetable for Summer, hopefully it'll be added to winter timetable soon.
Bus with blacars bus or flixBus are very frequent (better than hourly), from Barcelona Nord bus station. Takes 2:30hrs compared to 1:25hrs for the bus.
Airport to bus station is 45mins
You can use either sncf connect, or trainline.com, to purchase tickets for trains and bus.
Renfe at 50e seem more expensive for their train compared to SNCF, 30e, while bus is less than 10e if booked now
It's possible to get from Barca to Perpignan by regional trains in any case.
