Collonges looks decent alright and in a good spot. In terms of location, I'd say anywhere around that little ring-road is pretty good as the centre seems pretty small. I was looking at the Adonis close to the station, but then I got a spot on AirBnB a bit closer to the centre. I abandoned the Ibis Budget as it's a long way out but you can't argue with the price out there, especially for a triple.

Nice one. Decent recovery time for the team, plus makes getting there and back reasonably OK.
Ryanair flight to Carcassonne on Friday has gone up a small bit but still reasonable (€36). Flight back on Sunday up over 100.
The route back from Limoges to Stansted and onward to Knock or Dublin on Monday is still cheap as chips. In fact I think the Knock one is gone down a fiver since I booked it (curse my proactivity).
So I reckon that's the best option for anyone booking. Unless of course you can't get Monday off in which case in and out of Carcassonne is the best option.
I reset the poll now that the date is confirmed. Sign up if you're going.

Well they will surely show both. As St Placide said, they are all televised on some one of BeIN's channels. The question is will they put one in their "prime" Thursday night slot, which would be a disaster for either Connacht or Irish - and not just because I have a flight booked for Friday
All will be revealed in a few hours (allegedly).

The only other game that might be vaguely marketable is Quins v Cardiff as it is 1st v 2nd but given that Blues have no real hope they won't be queueing up. That could end up being the Thursday night game for BT/Sky.
Hopefully French TV won't bother with a Thursday night game or will show a dead-rubber like Agen v Edinburgh who will both be well rested.
With some not too enticing fixtures in the Champions Cup also they'll hopefully save the more competitive Challenge Cup games for the weekend to fill out the schedule.

Maybe they should just ask Santa to do it.EPCR say they hope to make an announcement on the kick-off dates and times on the evening of Wednesday, December 23 or the morning of Thursday, December 24.

Fri 15 Jan
DUB - Carcassonne 1430 - 1715 (€22)
Mon 18 Jan
Limoges - STN 1205 - 1245 (€15)
STN - Knock 1535 - 1715 (£13)
I booked a few hotels here and there so provisional plan would be Toulouse for the Friday night (Hotel Ours Blanc - handy for the train station and the Melting Pot) and on to Brive in the morning.
If the game is Friday I'll have to book another flight out but I don't reckon it will be.
Might stay in Limoges Sunday night if the game is Saturday.
