Here's a rundown of where the app is being downloaded

After our first weekend of availability we have had just over 150 app downloads. But the downloads dropped significantly after Friday's match, with only 4 downloads on Saturday.

So this is a plea to everyone with Twitter, Facebook and all sorts of other accounts to get talking about it and raise as much awareness as possible, and as often as possible!

Re-tweets are great, but we need more of them, and we need them at the right time for maximum benefit. For example the IRFU twitter account re-tweeted our news, but did it at midnight on a school night! As retweets go, it's appreciated, but was very unlikely to have generated much in the way of awareness.

We have a break until the 23rd now, so we can afford not to market it too much, in case we get accused of smapping, but once the next match approaches we should hit the usual spots once more.

I should add that it might be a legal thing, I asked the RaboPro12 and Zebre rugby accounts to RT our news but they did nothing either.

I was in touch with Alex Saul more or less at the beginning of this project and was never asked to stop developing the app, so I wouldn't be too quick to jump to conclusions that we've done something we shouldn't.

Still, though, a freaking retweet would be nice!

Yeah, that didn't go unnoticed by me. Very disappointing attitude, if there's a problem it would be nice if they'd let it be known instead of giving us the cold shoulder

Looks like the App must be trodding on someone's toes at Connacht Rugby, not a single retweet from anyone player or otherwise about the launch. Anyone on the committee able to take this up to find out, they should be supporting this. Any chance they have an app in development..??
