So we are trying to increase the audio coverage for the Clan Bar. Last couple of years you had to be within a couple of feet of the speakers at our events to actually hear what was going on, so we have decided to see if we can get about four wall mounted speakers and a PA system set up for next season. The PA will only need to be basic (two mics and output for the four speakers).
Anyone know a good place to start looking for a decent second hand PA and/or speakers? I guess we will be needing wall mounts and cabling as well.
Is there an Irish equivalent of Maplin - www.maplin.co.uk/music/pa-and-live-sound/pa-kits
Cheap as chips!! Great find SP. I will call into the Maplin in Wellpark today and see if what they have will suit us. Only looking for a basic setup so probably will be grand.

My missus is a second hand PA (well, an ex-secretary) and her sisters are a right couple of speakers. Not sure about wall mounting - and don't get me started on the cabling!
