Peter Lydon put in a good shift for Paris last night, played most of the game at ten but moved to 12 for the final ten minutes. (Allowing the Lisbon-based collective of part-timers and amateurs (Lusitanos XV) play against a Top 14 side is wrong and it was fortunate that nobody was hurt.)

Also, Shane O'Leary, ex-Young Munster, got a run out for Grenoble last night.

Sheridan was mentioned here last year. Most importantly for Connacht he is a big lump of a 12 in the mould of Downey.

Eamon Sheridan (from Navan) is having a great season so far at London Irish and is worth keeping an eye on. He's only 22 and had a great spell with Rotherham last season.

Ireland should nail down Hart, he's also eligible for France (Toulouse-born mother).

Agreed.

Hart was outstanding in what was a most unfortunate stumble for Racing on their path to world domination.

Speaking of half backs from Leinster, Peter Lydon should start at 10 for Stade Francais on Thursday night: Paris is unlikely to risk any front liners against the might of Lusitanos XV..!

Speaking of La Rochelle, where is David McGowan now?

Dave McGowan was forced through injury to retire unfortunately during La Rochelle's season in Top15. Real shame as still a very young lad. Had hopes he'd come back to Connacht a seasoned Pro.

Danny Kenny who played for the Connacht Eagles, Munster A and Leinster A has signed for London Irish. Hopefully he can make it there. He obviously has talent if all three provinces were willing to give him a try-out.

Thanks G_G.

He's listed as a squad member but didn't play last weekend. It's a decent level of rugby and both Niall and him should do well there.
