mike sherry travell to new zealand for cover. Surely flavin is ahead off sherry. If they went through ten off them would they pick a connacht player

It will be a real battle against the Welsh, their fitness levels are great and they are playing with confidence, and as they say the Welsh way. I expect no quarter asked and none given.

We owe the Welsh one after the defeat earlier in the year, as well as the fact that the first time we played them in the RWC was in Wellington in 1987 when they beat us 13-6.

It is always good for a Kidney led team to have some grist for the mill to get the heckles raised.

I would also like to thank Eddie O'Sullivan for making the team so hungry following his years of under-achievement.

what a great chance me have now. Some great players wont be around in 4years and we have other great players who are flying. If new zealand make the final on the other side they dont have carter or mccaw so we could push them all the way

With the US getting the bonus point this morning, we're essentially into knock out mode already (barring a highly unlikely 2 bonus point loss for us). It's probably a good thing in a way, because now they know they just need to go out and win. I'm confident we'll get the victory, but I'm already nervous, so by the time the game kicks off I'll be a wreck.

I'd be confident we'll get the win too, we have a lot more overall than Italy.

Not surpised at all that Mallett is talking his teams chances up, he's just trying to get a notion of doubt into the Irish squads heads. If we play as badly as we did in spring then they may have a chance,  but if we play anwhere near the standard set in the Aussie game we'll destroy them by a good twenty points at least....

They have to be at their best and us somewhere near our worst to realistically have a hope...

Bring it on....!!!! C:-)

Buskers are open for this by the way lads so if anyone fancies a bit of brekkie and watching the game on the big screen then that's the place to be.

Lievremont is going with Parra at 10, so he's obviously thought of it first

I think if they were playing in any other country they would think about it. But in front of their own supporters, highly unlikely.

huge performance by the lads in green. massive. As ye say not alaone is our pool blown wide apart so too is the whole WC knckout stages.

I must admit BOD had a much improved game and his experience playing was tremendous.

I bet ye all that penalty with 3 mins to go would have been kicked by ireland (and rightly so) as it would have secured a BP at the very least had made sure they would have had another bit of the tryline after the re-start.

Massive c-ock up by the Aussie's there imho. But they have been arrogant / ignorant towards the irish and i'm delighted they got what they deserved.

Sweet F**K All
:D

Yes we have 2 games to go and we shouldn't look past that but i feel the russians will be put to the sword by our seconds and a win against the azzurri is more likely than this time last week.

roll on the boys from the valleys

But what i would like to know

will the Kiwis throw the french game to get to the so called easier side of the knock-out stages >:D
