Great to see the lads getting a start as they deserve it and wont let the side down.
I hope that McCarthy has a stormer and can put him in the shake up for the 1sts squad

Why are we spending so much time on Leinster players? The irony is a bother to post this I guess.

whatever the popular opinion on carr and hagen(im on fence) its clear that the two main benefactors of their decisions are tiernan and ronan.

firstly tiernan took over carrs mantle as main strike runner with connacht and now has his irish squad place aswell.

loughney gets a chance at hagens position with connacht by default due to ah yous lack of ability in spite of being considered a poor 2nd choice lh to wilko and does well enuf to take hagens spot in irish squad.

sends out a great message to all young players!

come to connacht!

I would welcome both back at Connacht with open arms.

If Eric wouldnt then I would have to question that as both would improve us dramatically.

On the squad, Jennings, Cullen, pwallace are braindead selections. Marshall not in the wolfhounds ahead of Tol is criminal.

Is it too much to ask for the best players to represent us? Instead of political appointments for life to the Irish rugby team like pw

In all the marginals that waste of space Kidney always goes for a Munster player, basically Kidney planning for his future....

Re Hagan & Carr, question to ask is if they came back how much game time would they see?
Answer = LOTS...

As a Connacht supporter I dont like to see any talent leave but as has been said there were grounds for Cronin and Keatley leaving and best of luck to them. Where I have a problem is when people leave Connacht for what in my opinion is a lower position i.e Leinster A. Hagan could have grown with 2 more years of first team rugby with us and Carr could have shone as part of a TOH/Griffin/Carr attack. If nerves have been touched today its probably because there has been a few regrets flying around this year when we were in the H Cup and playing Toulouse etc and bench warming can leave a man plenty of time to think about his choices. Good luck to all the lads as long as they aren't playing against us.

i no keatley and croinin left to make a bigger name for themselfs, i was disappointed but understood where they were coming from.
my problem for the other two is -
hagan was happy here otherwise he wouldn't of said he was going to sign then stabbed us in the back. wilko and cronin helped him loads in the scrum and maybe made him look better than he was then. other two years he would make the irish 22 i believe,
carr said he wanted to leave then the fool copped on that no team was to keane on him and wanted to come back to little connacht but we refused as we already had someone signed.

Seems Cronin is backing up Fionn now on Twitter too

Some lad tweeted him: @SeanCronin2 Tell @FionnCarr to chill out about @ConnachtCows us Connacht fans really miss having you guys on the field for us

to which Sean replid: funny way off showing it

I can see why they thought it might be a good idea to move, good luck to them. My main take on it is that it's a shocking waste of ability to see them mouldering in the Leinster A team.

Neither bitchy nor untrue. And it's not like we wouldn't welcome him back (that'd make for a tasty back 3).

At the Leinster game when Leo the Lion appeared for the half-time charity race the joke in the Clan Terrace was that it was nice to see Fionn get a bit of game time. And some bloke kept calling him Sharon (well "Shaddon" actually), so I can kind of see why he's in high dudgeon.

Sports fans love a villian, and those two were easy choices.
