I've gone to Bristol and hired car a few times. Worked out cheaper than Cardiff flights. Stayed in Travelodge which was grand but slim pickings when budget is not massive!

Last time I went to watch that match I stayed in the Merthyr Tydfil, Premier Inn. It's across the road from the Pentre-Bach train station which goes directly to Cardiff Station.
Flew to London and drove, which might not have been the easiest way, but the hotel was ideal for travelling into and out of Cardiff.

Anyone going to Wales v ireland have any suggestions on the most cost effective travel and accomodation?!!! Flights to cardiff and accomodation very expensive. Thinking of going on a travel and accomodation package... any help would be appreciated.
