It's sad to see the Force go, they resonated with me as a Connacht fan, as they seemed to be the forgotten team on the Western coast, that the the Union wanted to cut loose, which obviously bears many similarities to us here. We're happy to take on a new fan and we might even be able to give refuge to a few Force players if we're lucky.

Super Rugby far from super... was created by Western Force
Hello all,
I am sitting here writing this 24 hours after my Super Rugby team, The Western Force have been kick out of the competition by the corrupt f@*kers at the ARU. I won't bore you with all the goings on but the fact that one team cost the lost $30 million dollars in 6 year where as the Western Force has lost $5.5 million in 12 years but we get cut because we are "bleeding them dry!" says a bit about the whole thing.
Anyway enough about that depressing rubbish as from now on I will not be giving them another cent of my money or even supporting an Australian team which bring me here. Having left Ireland as a 6 year old and a mum who was born in Mayo and an uncle who played a handful of games for Connacht back in around late 60's early 70's and a brother in law who is a die hard supporter, I'm now happily a Connacht Clan member and will be supporting and try to watch as many games as possible out here in Australia!
I'm looking forward to the season ahead and hope expansion does not destroy Pro rugby like it did Super rugby. Who knows, a trip to Africa to watch a game is sounding quite nice at the moment!
Regards from a new fan,
Doug
