Leinster finally announce their academy for next year

Harrison Brewer - Centre
Ross Byrne - Out-half
Ian Fitzpatrick - Wing
Cian Kelleher - Wing/FB
Nick McCarthy - Scrum-half
Rory O'Loughlin - Centre
Garry Ringrose - Centre
Peadar Timmins - Flanker/No. 8

I've heard great things about Ringrose.

True. It might be an agent playing silly buggers but MOC does have a rugby league background himself so it's not implausible. We'll have to wait and see.

MOC does like a code swapping centre ... I think Leinster will be linked with every centre going for the rest of the summer so it's hard to know what to take seriously.

Anyone see this? Leinster are linked with Rugby League star Ben Te'o for the centre spot next year. Colour me intrigued.

Leinster A were just that much sharper of the two teams. Jack Conan was excellent as was Ben Marshall Leo Auva'a carried well and I liked the the look of Ross Molony who came on early for a concussed looking Ben Marshall. The Leinster winger Sam Coghlan Murray looks like a right whippet. For me though Noel Reid was the best player on the park and looks the real deal.

Apparently it was not as one sided as the scoreline says. Great team display with no real.stand out individuals. Great for the development of the young guys.

Another trophy in the bag for Leinster, they are fairly wracking them up. Surprised they won this so comfortably but they also beat Munster quite well in the quarter final. The semi-final they drew but progressed on tries scored or some nonsense like that.

I'd imagine this competition is set to continue?

Big win for Leinster A in the B & I Cup final. No real stand out player just good performances all round. Ended 44-17 which makes it sound more one sided than it was.

Looks like Strauss and McCarthy are a doubt for the play-offs and the Argentina tour with injury. Strauss I think has being ruled out, Macca is rated doubtful.

Rumours going around that 3rd year academy winger Andrew Boyle won't be offered a development contract.

Scott Fardy's name is doing the rounds at the Leinster forums. No idea if he's their guy we'll find out soon enough.

And Dave Kearney in charge of his induction ceremony. You could sell tickets to that.
