could be a bit of both, as my earlier message, your talking €90, my season ticket cost €130 (or so). 3 hours at the dogs or 15 games, easy to know which is better value.
in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 when i used to be in the main stand, every game i used to have my pints upstairs or on the terrace with a friend or two while throwing €3 bets on. have to say it was quiet good, no hanging around, 12mins between races.
i was thinkin of hanging around last season but the dogs was very rarely on within an hour of the game being finished.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, the Night At the Dogs has had to be postponed to a later date. Details of the new date will be announced in the coming weeks
i wonder what came up? lack of tickets sold? i was thinking of showing up on the night and paying then although thinking about it, could get pricey.
€20 in
€30 drinks (2drinks an hour for 3 hours at €5 a pint)
€24-36 bets (€2/3 a bet on 12 races)
€5-10 raffle
about €90 for the night, i know it could of been cheaper......

Connacht Rugby is planning a fun night of greyhound racing and we’d like you to join us.
This fundraising event will take place on Friday 28th June from 8pm at the Sportsground and is the perfect opportunity to meet the Connacht squad, including some new faces, on a relaxed summers’ evening in Galway.
There are a few months to go until our first game of the 2013/14 season but we’re already busy planning for the year ahead. The players will be back training in early June under new Head Coach Pat Lam and will be looking forward to a night off where they can meet with some supporters and enjoy the thrills of the track.
Tickets are just €20 and include your race card as well as entry into the buster draw on the night. If you match your ticket’s number combination to the finishing order of the nominated race you could win first prize of €1,000. There will also be a draw for two second prizes of €500 each as well as plenty of other prizes to be won on the night.
Connacht Rugby Business Development Executive Martin Fallon commented; “The Night at the Dogs is a chance for Connacht fans to come and enjoy the other side of what the Sportsground is about. The Greyhound Stadium has been a great neighbour to Connacht Rugby for many years and we are delighted to be running this night with their help. It will also give fans a chance to meet some of the new faces in Connacht Rugby in a relaxed and social setting.”
Tickets for the night can be purchased at the Connacht Rugby Office in the Sportsground or through www.connachtrugbystore.ie
There will also be tickets available at the gate on the night.
This should be a good laugh, something new and maybe the branch wants to get on the good side of the dogs....
Be nice to chat with few of the new lads and a nice break before our pre-season.
€20 is not out of the way, same as 4pints in the local, chatting to the same people every weekend.
ill be there, will you?

Great that it's been personalised, but they haven't brought across the discounts currently available for some stuff via the Elvery's Connacht page. (I got two of the Beanies for the price of one at the weekend)..
