Not a happy bunny at all was then told that there is only a jersey released in Galway today and not the wide range of supporter merchandise that was promised in that misleading press release a few weeks ago!
Coldnt even get the discont if they did have nice kit as I still haven't recieved my ST a week before the official start of the season.
Loving Connacht Rugby is turning out to be similar to loving a disobedient child

Elverys/Rugbytech/Connacht couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery when it comes to getting gear in shops before the season starts
The wife had the same experience last week when trying to buy a present, nothing to buy only a home jersey. When she enquired , blank faces and a" maybe" in a few weeks time . While the staff are very helpful they just do not know themselves. It's time CR do the decent thing and get the supporters a decent kit supplier. Just log onto ulster, Leinster or munsters website and you get a shop, and a selection of items to choose from, we get a home jersey and a sock from elverys website.

i didnt like the purple one at all last year, but seemingly it was a big seller for them.
To each their own i suppose.
Hope fully they will have a decent range of other merchandise coming out soon.

Either way if it takes your fancy or not given the way most sports teams are run these days, there will be a new kit in 12 months time of some discription for us to look forward to.

At the rate at which the primary colour of green is on the retreat on this new shirt, we'll soon no longer play in green at all, and as for that pale blue monstrosity with the "celtic motif", well the less said the better. It's the worst away kit since the grey Bank of Ireland shirt of 2002-2004ish vintage.
Could whoever within the Branch who is responsible for this season's kit or responsible for commissioning it please come on here and explain their rationale?
I like it. You cant please everyone. Also, what good is complaining going to do? They're not going to change it now. Dont buy it, if you dont like it. If not many people buy it, I'm sure they'll investigate why sales are down, and look into changing the colours

The home jersey is available now, while the away strip and supporting leisurewear will be available from August 25. Connacht Rugby season-ticket holders can avail of a 10 per cent discount on merchandise.
The new range will be available in the following Elverys outlets in Galway: Corbett Court Shopping Centre, Liosban, Tuam, and Retail Park.
In Mayo the new kits will be available in Ballina, Wesport, Castlebar and Castlemorris.
Throughout the rest of the province the new strip can be purchased in Carrick-on-Shannon, Athlone, Johnston Court in Sligo, and Golden Island in Athlone.
Elverys outlets in Arnotts shopping centre, the Aviva Stadium, Suffolk Street, Blanchardstown, Dawson Street and Fonthill, as well as the Cresent and Parkway outlets in Limerick will also have the new jersey in-store.
Connacht Rugby will be holding a number of in-store promotions before the season kick off against the Cardiff Blues on September 1 to promote the new launch.

As for the jerseys... The away jersey would have looked immeasurably better as blue white and BLACK. That said I really appreciate the philosophy behind the why they have gone with it. We have a unique history here in Connacht and we should use that.
I've only seen the one picture of today on the connacht rugby site but it does look like there was a nice crowd around, I guess thats the beauty of a city like Galway, no matter what time of the year there'll always be a crowd to watch whats going on.
as for the away strip, I think the blue and black training gear they use is nearly nicer, guess its just so different from previous produce, i have no doubt it will sell well though, I for one will defo add it to my vast collection.
I assume the HEC kit from last season will still be used for that this season also, or am i wrong on this point?

have to agree with ummm, i went and bought both HEC jerseys last year but only because of the season that was in it, i didnt think there was enough of a change in the other two shirts from the previous one to go forking out over €120 for a different sponsor only.
over all i guess they should have held off until next season after the changes last season but then i guess it is a sign of progress that they are confident that there will be a market for a whole new kit.
