Yep Rob has done an outstanding job in promoting Connacht Rugby (never mind the Junior stuff he does with Knockon.ie), his coverage with Joe Healy is great, the perfect balance of supporters enthusiasm and analytical former player...

I think it has been mentioned before during the World Cup, but TV stations are very frightened of showing too much rugby.
There were very few Pro 12 matches broadcasted on tv during the WC, in comparison to the rest of the season.
Rugby doesnt have the same neutral following as soccer.

as much as i like watching the repeats of games the morning after, i would prefer them if they showed the away games.
every game they show they do a great job and have good interviews with eric and few players.
rte have only showed 1home game this season which was vs cardiff. correct me if im wrong.

Glasgow game will be a cheap pickup from BBC Alba who are hist broadcaster.

I know there's a lot of TV rugby on this weekend with the 6N & 6N U-20's tonight as well, (but call me selfish) I always like to see Connacht games on the TV schedule from a status point of view...

While TG4 in the main are doing a great job in terms of adding to the Pro12 coverage, I'm a little surprised that they haven't been picked up on the fact that they aren't covering tonight game. Would have thought that Bradley returning to face his old Club was a great story and made the game much easier to sell. It's not like they are covering any other game this weekend....


I would suggest that for those who can't get to games that the contact TG4's sports department to ask why there is no coverage, I would imagine that if no one challenges them that they end up thinking that they've got it right...
