Most people would say that we will learn and improve after the season. Its been tough but we have been competitive an most of our games.
I couldnt fault any of the players for their effort at the weekend in the face of an impossible task.
That performance at the weekend has set the standard that the players need to be reaching.
Great to see some of the connacht players take on and beat their men.
As for the coverage of the game by the media it was a disgrace. The indo had nothing in it about the match. That was a decent performance. Sure even some of the top Irish sides have been happy with Losing bonus points on their travels in France.
Any news on the lad that fell and hit the bollard? 20 staples and a few stitches.
Also someone had a bad fall in the Frog on the stairs.

9:00 RTE news annoyed me,as they seemed to make a lot of emphasis to the losing streak as opposed to an excellent display against possibly the greatest European team to date .
Would love a win against quins .Will be tough and the games must be taking it toll on the lads .Applause to anyone who can make it to last training session before the game. The lads are human, they feel our pain tenfold and would surely get a boost to know that we're all still behind them .

Exactly this all came much too quicky for a squad which replaced half it's players. I'd hope that one of the other provinces does us a another favour in the HEC and wins. A second consecutive season in the HEC would hold a lot less fears for the lads, they'd have a a full summer to work together and might just get the one or tow first class singings that will make us really competitive...

Links to the shots please - there's a few on the facebook page but that's all I've seen!
Seconded on the fans; there were multiple, long, periods on the tv coverage where the home crowd was completely silenced by the team's performance, and all you could hear behind the commentators was the fields or chants of "Connacht", 24th man matching (and sometimes surpassing) the efforts of the 23 on the pitch.

Fets looked dangerous on Saturday, because we made an effort to get him into the game. We're learning how to use these guys finally.

Vainikolo has improved the last few weeks and hasn't been afraid to get involved, still not sure about him in a number of areas, he is improving but he was coming from a low base. Really though our "star" foreign signings should be showing some form quicker than they are. He needs to make his mark on the final run in of league games and bring that into next season.

When McSharry learns how to pass the ball he could go all the way into another green jersey. Big trick is to back that up next week against the quins, if we can do that we can win and what a game to pick to end the loosing streak.
unfairly knocked?
come on man fetu and Henry have been shocking up until the last 2 games maybe
Totally disagree, yes both have made mistakes, but so have the golden boys. Both of these guys look for work ,Fetu covers every blade of grass and does so much work off the ball, Henry is not a 12 I keep saying it and I will be proved right eventually but his work rate is well up there as is his vision. If you want to point out glaring mistakes and brainfarts I could be here all night
writing them, the biggest brainfart IMHO happened yesterday when McSharry not only totally ignored Duffy for a certain try he also cut back ,when he may even have made it himself if he kept going. But that is just one of many ,but every single Connacht player is guilty at some stage this year of having brainfarts.
