Here here, well played Mick, put in a great shift, his tackling is superb and made some good carries and did some good work at lineout time. Great career ahead of him, hopefully at Connacht

Well, Kearney was a bright spot tonight. As I said, really hope there is some way we can manage to hold onto this guy for a good few years...

Been well impressed with him on any outings i've seen him in. Exactly what we need, talented players eager to learn and get game time. As mentioned above 2nd row is one area where Leinster look short in the future so he mightn't be here for the long term but he's got a chance at Connacht, so hopefully he'll commit for a couple of years and we can get him on a pro contract for 2 years like McSharry.

The squad is so full of poor quality at the moment that its easy to lose sight that there is good young players who can form the basis for the team in the next couple of years if given a chance and if given the right quality of players around them.

Hope to see more of the likes of Kearney, McKeown, Heffernan in the 2nd half of the season.

the best way to keep him and others coming tru is to sign them on longterm contracts on competitive terms while ensuring that the team is playing winning rugby and competing wit the best.

we are a long way short on both counts atm but we live in hope.

If he continues to improve he'll probably end up back there, maybe not this year but the next given Cullen is old, Browne is getting on as well and Sykes is supposed to be on his way back to SA soon

Right...got it. Thanks for the explanation.

So there is no way to secure his services if Leinster want him back in a year or two, I suppose?

Mick Kearney was created by Breifne
I read here recently that Mick Kearney is here on loan from Leinster. Is this correct? Not sure I realized that if it's true. What are the odds of us somehow hanging on to him? He's an impressive player given his tender age of 20 years.
