Apparently lots of nice things were said about Qualter and Kindregan especially by the Leinster staff! The Irish line-out apparently really bossed the game and gave a good account of themselves. It's an area Leinster are actually very weak on and are looking to bulk up. Apart from Neilus Keogh they don't really have any great prospects coming through and with O'Donoghue gone, Cullen 34/35? and Sykes not being the class act they thought he was going to be it's something there rightly worried about. They have some school kid that the Leinster Boards are drooling about called Dan Leavey? (I think) whose meant to be the Leinster answer to Steven Ferris but thats really it. Wouldn't be surprised if in a year or so they try and steal Ian Nagle off Munster or Mick Kearney off us.

Leinster Development 15 v 40 Ireland Under-20

Looks like Jack Carty and Kieran Marmion had good games. Good to know there's a 10 coming through for Connacht in the Academy!

Does anybody know anything about Stephen Macaulley (Exiles)? He's put down as no. 16 which I take as prop position? If so we should should look long and hard into signing him!!

No Macaulley is an extremely talented fullback for Leicester Tigers who went to Clongowes scored two against Michaels in the 2010 final. Very good player surprised he isn't on a wing. He was an amazing schools players one of the best I've ever seen. He's originally from Ulster I think.

Great sign of the work that has been carried. It's not so long ago when we struggled to get a few onto panels.

Great to see the 10 lads in the squad, superb work being done. Realisically we need 3/4 of these to make the breakthough next year and then another 3/4 the year after. Homegrown squad is the way to go.

JJ Hanrahan, Paddy Jackson, Tadgh Furlong and a couple of others to come into that yet

The Ireland Under-20 team to take on a Leinster Development side at Donnybrook on Thursday (kick-off 2pm) has been named.

The now traditional training fixture against Leinster is part of the Ireland Under-20s preparations for the 2012 'RBS U-20 6 Nations Championship, which begins for them against Wales at Dubarry Park on Friday, February 3.

Head coach Mike Ruddock's squad have already been through two training camps this season and the game against the Leinster Development side will be the culmination of their third get-together over the last two days in Dublin.

The squad includes several players from last year's squad, including Daniel Qualter, Aaron Conneely and Cathal Marsh.
