Well, what could’ve been. If jack had managed to get that first break over the line. Mind you, sale totally switched off in the second half.

Thoughts with Finlay, looked like a bad knock.

Sale better side on the night in fairness. Enjoy, the travelling clan.

Back to pro14 next week.

Sick of losing to English teams in England.
Can’t f’en speak with the upset !!
( think I drank too much of the Coolade during the week !!! )

Thought we could surmount these guys.

Jack may not be that bad, could be a stinger. Happened in first half.
Sale are ok, but rely so much on Faf de Klerk. What a player! His kicking is awesome, by far best SH in world right now.

Really think we could have won that if we'd had a full deck out, but not good enough from those who were there, ref really lost control of things there at the end, injuries to Jack and Finlay very worrying.

Good response this half. Sale have dropped off, but poor accuracy from us.

And imagine we had to let AJ go to accommodate Marnitz Boshoff!!

Sale on the borderline but our passing is slow and often behind players, losing momentum. Amazing if we turn this around. McGinty kicking is outstanding

Not the best half of rugby I've seen from our men so far.

Jacks positional kicking isn't quite spot on. They're definately live to the threat and have men back covering the whole time.

I'm not sure if they have a massive line speed or are cutting it very fine with the offside. It's working for them anyways.

We're defensively a bit suspect out wide.

Gonna be a tough second half.

Very poor thus far, Masterson is having a stinker. Commentary are saying the sale line has been good I'd have said it's been offside on quite a number of occasions. I still don't understand why we've rested so many, win this and the likelihood is that would get us into the champions cup.

I can't call this game. We seem to have great momentum behind us, great self belief I hope. That said, missing some lads from last week is a minor worry - even if the starters today are all top quality.

Sale on the other hand are an immense team on paper.

Connolly not playing for contract, just pride!

I like the look of our back line, and we have a very impactful bench. This is a very youthful pack, but packed full of potential. Boyler and Thornbury will have to have huge games, and McCabe and McCoy will really have to step up for the 50 mins they'll be on the pack. That plus James Connolly playing for a contract next season could make them competitive!

12 personnel and 2 positional changes. Only Cannon remains in the pack, but we have 5 internationals in the backline.

Sale have rested James O'Connor and are starting their backup tight-head, but otherwise they're full bore.

FFS, for some reason I keep on thinking it's 1st and 2nd from each conference, the buy to the semis is obviously too complicated for me.

Both Sale and ourselves are currently outside the finals for Pro14/Premiership. We're obviously still fighting for Champ Cup place, as are they. Both sides should be gunning for this 100%.

Can't wait!!

Ehh.. we are currently in line for a quarter in the league :p
