My 3 is Carty, Farrell and Blade.
With honourable mentions to Roux, Fainga'a and Butler and also Boyle who I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned maybe due to a lack of game time but started the season so powerfully. If SOB2 hasn't missed so much with injury he'd be in there too.

My shortlist would be Colby Fainga'a, Jack Carty, and Ton Farrell.

I wouldn't be able to look past jack in a vote though.
His improvement and growth into a central and vital cog in Connacht.

It'd be well deserved!!

I know I've gone for Farrell in an earlier post, but still have to agree almost all the other guys mentioned would be deserved recipients of the award.
Butler, Blade, Jack, Fainga'a & Farrell have been excellent
The team improvement compared to this time last year. I'd be very upbeat about next season.

I'd go with Carty, Blade and Farrell for the shortlist myself but it's very very tough to narrow it down this year with Dillane refinding serious form and Fainga'a proving to be an excellent signing.

Farrell's been brilliant. There are plenty of other potential nominees - Dillane has carried like a monster all season, Roux has done everything else you want of a second row, Blade has stepped up seamlessly in Marmion's absence, Butler has captained us brilliantly, Godwin and Fainga'a have hit the ground running.

But personally I can't see past Jack Carty - defensive leader, kicking teams off the park from the tee and out of hand, and more offloads, breaks and interceptions than a Sonny Bill Williams highlight reel.
