Speaking of Strings... I wonder what he's up to since his contract wasn't renewed. We have 4 very promising young scrum halves who could be perfect for some coaching from a really clever player like him.

I also have to agree with your previous assessment that Blade Can't pass off his left. I think despite his obvious potential, he hasn't much future in the game unless he can rectify this quickly. Good players identify their own weaknesses (along with help from coaches) and they work tirelessly to put it right.[/quote]

My problem with Blade is the amount of steps he takes before getting the ball away from a ruck, scrum or especially a lineout - minimum 2, often 3 or 4 stepsnlaterally, allowing time for defenses to press. Must be a nightmare for the 10. Marmion is much sharper. Stringer was the best, no step, pick and pass - made O'Gara's life easy.

Mark Mostyn wrote: Listening to the craggy island podcast now, knew zebres discipline was bad but 17 penalties before a warning is ridiculous.

Zebres first try was clearly designed to exploit the gap left by dawai shooting out of the line.

I think Eoghan Masterson is a smart player, seems very vocal on the pitch, runs smart lines, picks the right moments to jackal, etc. But he’s not up to it physically and I think that’s why he struggled so much against a very aggressive Zebre pack.

Also I agree with the guy who was saying we’ve been losing collisions all year.

Listened to the Podcast.
Not sure if KK is uninspiring or someone just holding on to his wrath. My bet is the latter.
Even SOB was very down. And they should be.

Cannot see how we can step up we enough in next two matches to get anything.

There was even a vague outside chance of getting a restart after the penalty if they'd cracked on with it.
Add Ulster away to the list of poor last minute decisions too.

Same sauce as not going for the drop against Worcester. Serious lack of leadership & good decision making.

Don’t forget the Leinster game.

Ronaldson mightn’t have fancied the kick. That said he was much more likely to get it than we were to win a line out, never mind score.

In fairness to KK he was probably to angry after the game to game to give an interview he probably would have bitten someones head off or said something he'd regret.

Still not as bad as losing by 30 40 points to teams as we have in the past.

Thought I was ok with Zebre winning as they worked hard and probably could have scored more. Saturday night and this afternoon and it still bothers me. Madness that I even care that much. Despite the changeover in Coaches I never thought this season could be such a rollercoaster. The only consistent trait is not taking chances. This team just needs to work smarter and convert those opportunities to win even when it's undeserved. I'd settle for a cohesive performance any time soon in particular a dependable line out. It's a rocky road in the league as well as the Challenge Cup.
