Interesting to note the real London Irish are Ealing Trailfinders for next season

Only Jack O'Sullivan and Sean O'Hagan to look for in the L.I squad (Mulchrone will be too old next summer and Gilsenan no more needed as we're filled with Flankers)

Whereas I'll have a close look at O'Connell (LH), Betts (TH), Lydon (15/10) and Johnston (15/centre) all in the Ealing senior squad. Ryan Foley's there too but we definitely don't need another SH. I even wonder where promising Kerrins has gone...

Not really but Kinda

From yesterday
"Crusaders coach Ronan O'Gara is backing fly-half Mitchell Hunt to fill the boots of Richie Mo'unga, who is sidelined with a broken jaw"

Was listed mainly as 15/12 until this. Interesting

Super Rugby players who played under Keane in Tasman and who're not N-Z bound/other club bound this summer

Hooker Andrew Makalio
LH Prop Tim Perry (2 caps but none does count for now)
Lock Pari Pari Parkinson
Lock Quinten Strange
5/6/8 Peter Samu
Flanker Ethan Blackadder
Fullback Mitchell Hunt

Pari Pari or Strange + Samu should be the main targets IMO

Jerry Sexton, Shane Buckley, Jordan Coughlan, Gearoid Lyons, Jack Tovey all re-signed, Piers O'Connor rumoured to Bristol :(

Bradshaw-Ryan 2,05m 23 y.o 2nd row from Munster/Nevers has to be added to the list of potential recruits though.

Weir would be a big meh from me I'm afraid but Tovey has been decent any time I've seen him play.

Hidalgo-Clyne has been going backwards (sometimes at a rate of knots) the last couple of seasons. Think we're better off sticking with Marmion/Blade/Mitchell all three of whom I rate.

Was just looking at the transfers already confirmed for next season, and a bit of an exodus of half-backs from Edinburgh, Tovey and Weir at fly-half and Hidalgo-Clyne at scrum-half, now any of those three would be decent additions to our squad.

He should have wanted to be back.
But I've found he has a 2 year-deal signed in England. Maybe there's a release clause...

I've seen Peter Lydon play #15 / #10 for London Scottish and Ealing and he looks very good indeed in that company. I've seen him kick some vital and very tricky conversions and penalties at the end of matches - once in a howling gale. He has a powerful left boot. Anyone knowledgeable have a view on him ?

John Madigan is another option at lock, was a big prospect at Munster but plagued by injury, seems to be getting a run of games at Massy and has been in the Midi Olympique team of the week a few times.

Edit: Sorry just saw him at the end there, but maybe he only signed a one year deal?

Madigan has been rumoured to have been re-signed with Massy last week

And apparently McGuigan was capped with England Saxons before there were considered as their A team. And another time vs Baa-baas which isn't an official cap either. So he should still be IQ AFAIK...

Correct, John Madigan signed a two-year extension with Massy last week. They're a great rugby club but forever stuck in the shadow of SF Paris and Racing 92.

McGuigan is not tied to England yet, as he played for the Saxons v South Africa A who aren't their 2nd national side. Thus he is ok. Would only be locked to England if the Saxons, England's 2nd side played v another country's 2nd side, i.e. The Wolfhounds.

Kinda agree, some say he's average. But anyway not the topic, he's no more overseas
