I'd agree with that, very hard to get decent 6N tickets through the IRSC

I contacted them in early November but got no direct answer (apart from an offer to purchase tickets for the Fiji game).

Although I am not affiliated to any club, I have been going to the Sportsground since 2005 and have been a season ticket holder since 2009.I was hoping that my allegiance to Connacht (and Irish Rugby) would go some way to getting my hands on some.

Any ideas?

Nope, only two ways to get them.

One - Join a Club. Bascially IRFU way of reward the grassroots with a ticket allocations for their members.

Two - sign up for the Irish Rugby Supporters Club (€50 p/a), less of a guarantee, In my experience Autumn Internationals only..

That may be true but there’s no way they would have been called up playing for us

minus 40 combined.

(eta: that's actually pretty unfair of me I've always rated McFadden and I think he deserved almost all of his caps, and Kearney had some good seasons and fit Joe's system well at the time.)

How many caps would McFadden and D. Kearney have if they played for Connacht?

Twill be Fergus McFadden this time around I think.

Could see McCartney getting a cap against Italy, though its not likely he is going to up sticks and play for any competitors so Joe might not feel the need to lock him down.

It's too short a time frame for Healy to make an impact on selection. He'd need to be doing it since last year.
Marmion Bundee Dillane will all be in the squad. Bealham and TOH will be either in the squad aswell or very near to it.

Healy has been the best winger in Ireland these last 2 months, based on form he should be there. But Schmidt doesn't base much his selection on form

Marmion should be a certainty.

Ryan isn't even first choice at Munster any more and Bealham has been playing very well so he really should be in the squad. Will he though?? Who knows.

After the autumn I wouldn’t say Finlay is a probability at all unfortunately.

Connacht Men in the Six Nations Squad. was created by Betty Swallocks
After two thirds of the Interpros, and Connacht hitting a bit of form, I was wondering which of our squad might be considered by Schmidt for the Six Nations. I would make it nine possibilities, ranging from the certain to the rank outsiders:

Certainties: Bundee and Ultan.
Probabilities: Kieran M and Finlay B.
Possibilities: TOH and Quinn Roux.
Outside chances: Tom McCartney, Tom Farrell, and Matt H.
