I miss the West Awake. Was slow but think people were coming round to it and when we were successful at end of the championship season and the crowds were huge it was great. That rendition of Rule the World at half time however, that was a poor call.

I agree Achill Islander! We need more than the Fields of Athenry. And given the abysmal performance on Friday night, we need it quick. Is there anyone here up for forming a Choir so that we can kick off a proper chant before and during the match? I know that there are people involved with musical societies that are clan members so surely we can get something going that would match what Munster have down in Thomond!?

Yeah, never understood why they dropped that. It used to be the try-scoring music but then as I recall they replaced it with Hey Baby or something equally terrible (memories are hazy).

I wasn't too gone on the West's Awake, but when I look back on it, we won the Pro12 when it was being sung, and we didnt when they got rid of it. Too much of a coincidence in my opinion.

The west's awake is such a boring song. At least you can add tempo in to the fields

It is quite boring, but I was just starting to get used to it, and enjoy it, and then it was canned. I think it might take a few seasons of ramming it down people's throats before we really appreciate it
