I'm not happy. I've had season tickets for years.I bring 3 teenager's and now have to fork out €160 for each of them and then buy my own.Its suddenly becoming very expensive! Why they can't be classified as " youth ", it's maddening. On match day each will spend a tenner on goodies, chips etc,we never miss a match and have"our spot" in the Clan.Over the last 12/15 years ( I'd have carried them in on plenty of occasions when nippers) we maybe missed only a handful of matches in all that time . The Family ticket won't cover any of them. I'd never thought I'd say it, but I'm having to seriously reconsider by renewal.

Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

Last season it would have been €380 (gate) or €341 (advance).
So I presume we are looking at an increase in the individual ticket prices as well.
It would be useful if they published the actual match day prices in advance as well so people could assess the value of it.

They could also easily solve the head coach problem by asking Steve Hansen to come over and take the job. If finances are a problem, it would be relatively straightforward to fix that by simply paying him minimum wage. Of course the All Blacks may have him tied into a contract, but I would suggest buying him out of it with a plate of Lamingtons.

(Sorry for going off topic, but when you have a great power, you should try to use it for good)

You forgot to say something about the new centrally located purpose built stadium with retractable roof....

Individual Renewal ok but as Shelflife say Family Membership being rightly hit.
Not affecting me so of no Euro concern to me but it's a big jump.
I've emailed the Branch as I know some households will have to make hard decisions ..

quoted from my email:-

Family ticket price gone mad and makes no sense to encourage offspring to be brought...

Family Renewal- 475 vs 2 Adult (235)- €455= nice as children included;

Family Early Bird 570 vs 2 Adult (255)- €510- €60 charge for children = 2nd child free

AND
Family General- 660 vs 2 Adult (285)- 570 = €90 = 2nd child free

Seems a big jump from last season (and a child less)

Cheers Mcginty, compared the previous seasons prices, I renewed as a family ticket last year and didnt know what the correct rate was.

At the risk of "pulling a Connachta" ...

pinky wrote: A reasonably simple solution is to have a renewal period where you can stay where you are, followed by a second period where you can move to another area of the ground (at the normal renewal price) followed by the normal early bird period and general sale.

Holy f****g s***, did the Connacht marketing department just do what I told them to???

An existing family ticket holder with 3 kids will be rightly pissed off, I think they should have brought it in for new family season tickets and phase it out, its a big jump in price.(doesnt affect me so not pocket talk)

They should allow junior tickets to be upgraded to adult tickets on match days, ive had a few occasions when one of my kids couldnt travel and we were left with a spare ticket to a sell out match that we couldnt use.

Over all I think its good value.

I think they could do more for the STH to make it even more attractive, not having Eagles games on at the same time as a European cup game would be a start.

Just got an email with the renewal details. As a current main stand ticket holder who wants to change I think its a fair enough deal. It gives everyone the chance to buy the ticket of their choice but not at the expense of current ticket holders. Just need to make sure I've got the money in my account and I'm able to log on early 15th.

Ha, I was expecting to be completely wrong with my comment. I just remembered that last season I thought it was early when announced.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see the pricing. Dont think they can justify an increase, but I wouldn't be surprised at all

Correct in that it was March, however this years renewal window will close ahead of the date that it opened last year.
Granted its 24 days vs 16 last year, but its close to a month ahead of last years window.

I think it's been in March for the last few seasons to be honest.
I'm almost certainly going to renew regardless, but would like some update on the head coach and some signings.

We haven't gotten any positive news for quite some time
