Just had a look at the wasps Toulouse highlights from the weekend..
The Toulouse line speed in defence is positively glacial. It was remarkable actually.
Rush defence/fast line speed by opposition in the pro12 has hurt us this season.
I can't see Toulouse developing this in one week.
So get the ball to our back three to go around them...
But they are animals in attack. Every player 1-15 looks capable and will get over the game line. Brute force. Not sure have we the brawn to stop this..so don't give them the ball

What is that old saying "you can lead a horse to water, but you can make them drink"
Going to suggest to Kieran Hanley that he paint Murty's bright green, just to make it a little more obvious to all those who pass it after every home game on the way back from the Sportsground.
Just in case the big Connacht flag and the numerous green Clan window stickers are not enough.

Where are Galway based Connacht fans planning on watching this on Sunday?
The game is on Sky, so all pubs should be showing it.
Definitely want to watch this with a group of fans. And will need a pint or two to keep the nerves in check.
The Clan will be in Murty Rabbitt's on Forster Street as we are for all away games.

Anyway back on topic, against Toulouse in Galway we were hanging on for dear life at scrum time particularly near the end. If Denis Buckley or Finlay Bealham don't go the full 80 being honest they'll completely destroy us up front. We were very close to yellow card territory at scrum time when the subs came on yesterday and that's been a common occurrence even against average packs. Carey is a huge loss. In Galway they did huge damage up front early on and were 9-0 up on us due to their scrum dominance before we knew where we were. If we go 9-0 down out there and they get their tails up I don't see us coming back.
As was mentioned elsewhere we probably aren't built to defend a situation where we have to stop Toulouse getting 4 or more tries and while I was downbeat yesterday after the Wasps game thinking through it now such a situation would have left us in a strange kind of no mans land that's hard to manage. With the gap between winning and a losing bonus point being so small we have no choice but to go there with the attitude of winning the game if possible. I think the importance of a good start on French soil can't be underestimated. The pressure is more on them than us. Get the crowd on their back early and see how they react. Make them try and force it.
Hopefully as the team starts to somewhat settle down again and we get a bit of structure to our training sessions again we can look to ensure we get out of the blocks quickly next Sunday.

There was two tickets put back up for sale in our shop for the area where we all are. Check that out first I would say .

Carey will be a big loss in the scrum against Toulouse. We need 4 good props for that game. We have no chance if we allow them to control the scrums. I dont see Toulouse giving us the match if they have no chance of qualification. Their second choice pack could still kill us. They will remember our win a few years ago also.
I'd take a 5 points this weekend and one point away if I was offered it now.
They controlled the scrums in the game in Galway and we still won!
Just keep the big lads moving around the park.
