Folks let it go, move on. ..
When I say that subject is not up for discussion, please don't go on posting about it....

It's the sort of crap that will come back to bite the Clan down the road.

TomSauce and SligsUp, I've sent you PM's...

Thanks

Really?? Where's that coming from??

Guys hold your horses right there,
If you want to discuss this sort of speculation further feel free to PM each other; but unless it actually 100% verifiable/not Off The Record.it's not a conversation that should be going on here.....

As for comments on Leinster singing....honestly? #Snowflake generation etc.

Agree it's not the reason we lost the game, the decisions just compound everything and it's more frustrating obv

Not sure if there is a question in there. The COYBIB song bugs me just like Sweet Chariot does. That is all. Doesn't keep me awake at night, it's just a comment. I think my €10 membership entitles me to these comments.

Fully agree Dobby.

EOS suggested on radio that a good defense can negate Connacht's attack relatively easily by spreading out the defense away from the ruck, filling the midfield and getting the outside cover to get ahead of the ball before a ruck is formed, thus blocking off the attack. Leinster did this very well. Connacht did not adjust to this by either kicking into the gap behind the defensive line or attacking down the fringes or the 10 channel forcing the line to retreat and to then let it out when there is space. When Ronaldson was on, he could make those hard yards which sucked defenders in and created space. Bundee is not that type of player and tried to outpace the defenders on the outside. Unfortunately while we can destroy soft defenses, there is a one trick pony element to us if all we do is spin it out, and good coaches like Lancaster can suss it out pretty easily.
I though TOH did well, but was very impressed with Byrne on the wing for Leinster, made yards every time and has that extra narky aggression you don't often see in wingers.

I think the One Trick Pony remark is interesting. Whilst we play to a process and endeavour to pass the ball as our exit strategy - good defences(and coaches) know this too. We need to ensure we are not too predictable otherwise we will be coughing up points all season!

You're completely right here imo on the night we weren't good enough. Too many sloppy errors not protecting the breakdown enough and not being patient in possession cost us the match.

I personally feel we were worth a LBP but 2 bad calls directly cost us points. Sean O Briens penalty that put them 9-6 ahead I could see his palms on the deck from the north stand. He was constantly trying to grab at the ball but ended on the deck more often than not. This was a double whammy as we hadn't capitalised on his sin bin at all and with Rob of they got a cheap 3 points.

And the forward pass

I dunno. It's nice hearing a bit of noise at games tbh. I've been to too many games where you could hear a pin drop. Who cares if it sounds funny coming from posher vocalists? As far as the early departures go I will say that a lot of Leinster fans were warning us that buses would be hard to come by so people wanted to beat the rush for taxis (we ended up walking from the rds to gobus).

For me we lost all momentum after Robb went off for the knock-on. That factored in witn Ronaldson's injury and we were dust on the night. Proper kick up the hole but hope is still there for top 6. Leinster's front row was class and their backplay is improving with guys like Byrne. McGrath at centre shut up shop in a big way too in fairness.

I would be pretty confident of top 6. If we manage to get 5 points in our rearranged game in Zebre we're only 3 points off 6th and I think we're only 4 points less from the 7 games played then the same 7 last season

The amount of forward passes being missed these days by the officials is sickening.

Met Pat Lam today - he was very disappointed with the Connacht performance, felt they didn't 'turn up at all'.

Move on is the moral of the story here.

6th place will be a battle now...
