Missed the game because life and such. Hid phone and watched it back on tg4. Also recorded BBC Norn Iron coverage so watched it back a second time. Even sweeter on that platform.

Everyone in our pack carried over the gainline. Repeatedly. And Blade and Carty demolished their opposite numbers.

First 3 games we coughed up 9 points we'd won last year. Last 2 we've hauled 5 back.

Browne should've been man of rhe match. We lost the first lineout, he talked us through, and his passing and carrying in open play were, as per Aly last year, at the root of our ability to go wide at will.

If we make the same step up in quality as we have the last three games, Toulouse will be looking to the Top 14 for succour.

Blade was great, looked more like the lad who got us all excited last season. Great night

Andrew Browne was my MotM

Brilliant, brilliant result.

Sloppy enough set pieces aside (even tho I think we were wrongly pinged at scrum time a bit too much) pack did their job well. Jake and Dave Heff were great, mul was obviously class. Carey did the job. I thought ultan had a stormer of a game, would love to see stats.

Blade was very very assured, didn't notice a step down from marmion. I thought Jack had a serious game.

Bundee was well marked, still managed to make some gains. Ditto for Niyi. As someone pointed out, tiernan was the on form full back. Kelleher was class, great to see him making an impact, deserved man of the match.

Great open play. That third try was a thing of absolute beauty. Some dodgy kicking, and the first ten mins of the second half, aside couldn't ask for more.

Bonus point win against ulster at home!! Woop!!

There has been a ridiculous amount of negativity on this forum of late. Worrying about the academy not producing. Seriously?
About other fans laughing at us? I'll bet not many are laughing now.

So to celebrate I got all of you negative Nellys some pie. Eat up!!

Carty at 12. Don't be daft. He's a 10 and 15 at a stretch. Craig was the perfect distributor at 12 tonight and he has the size for center. Jack will never be a 12 and it'd ruin him if you threw him in there

I also have a theory that Carty might have the makings of a good 12 when Boshoff arrives?!!!

Good defence, hands, break, etc.

Jesus I don't know what to think after that game!!!!

We worked so hard to win it. And at times worked hard to f'ing lose it too!!!

That execution exiting in our 22 gave Ulster 14 points at least. Just giveaway points. It's madness in my mind. Why not mix it just a little?

Given how poor our set piece was, it is a hell of a win. Both scrum and lineout were poor.

But everyone put in a hell of a shift and we wanted it more than Ulster in my humble opinion.

A lot of work to do but we have two on the trot and our first inter-pro scalp of the season going into Europe!

think we have a star in our game. TOH outclassed Payne. O'Connor suggested it in the indo today that it was a battle between them. TOH won hands down. But aside from that Heff was absolutley immense, And on top of that the team performance reminded me of last year. It was fantastic. It was great to witness

Pat lam interview on tv

Interviewer...."the exit Strategy let you down..Ulster scarred from some of them"

"The problem isn't the exit strategy, it's the execution that lets us down"

Lawdy, what a game, what a win. Fantastic performance for almost 80 minutes (you know what I'm talking about). Held Ulster scoreless for the last 30. Looked incredibly incisive with ball in hand - running at space instead of tackles again. Ref was fair if a little bit too hot on high tackles. Lot of guys who had question marks over them made massive steps ups. Heffernan in particular looked like someone who has found a place in the team. The thing is there are still work ons in there, we can get better. Quality, quality rugby.

Looks like I did it, two quick tries to Ulster and it's all tied at 22.

I'm afraid to say anything about that first half in case I jinx things. 22-8 to Connacht with 3 tries to the hosts! Lots of good play long may it continue.

If we are to win, it is going to need to be a big performance from everyone, especially those on the bench.

Hopefully that and a bit of luck will get us over the line.

We need this. Badly!!
