still only 18, will be a serious unit if he continues to develop over the next 2 years, can see him getting senior gametime by then

there's also the big lad from Portumna but I think he got injured after the 6 nations. some crop of youngsters coming out of Sligo

Duffy and McPhillips in the mix too, shorter CVs but Carolan's all below senior level. Good to have so many options, we may need them sooner rather than later. Highlanders say they're in talks with Joe Schmidt.

Kerins was excellent after Johnston went off he was probably the best player left on the pitch. Pack were excellent, but his distribution and decision making was top drawer. Cant remember him making any wrong decisions and he dealt with the pressure and physicality of the Kiwi back row brilliantly.

Very impressed with Gallagher too, wee bit quieter than the Welsh game where he was outstanding.

Think these guys and the injured Gaffney will fast track through the Academy.....

I really think we should seriously be considering Carolan as Pat 's replacement long term

Just flick onto tg4 and Ireland are doing very well against NZ. 9 up with 30 to go.

No9 Kerins looks a handy player.
