The aim was top 6
Secondary aim was semi-final
Last little regret would have been letting the home one slipped in Italy. We made up for this, against a very decent Glasgow team and prooved once again for the last sceptics that we have a serious level.
I predicted we were slight favourite, not a reason for me to miss enjoying the moment ; Everything now is pure bonus in fairyland.
Im not disagreeing with what our aims were. Top 6 was my aim too. Achieving what we have already has been beyond my wildest expectations. I'm just saying we've played better than today during the season and Glasgow didn't quite look at the pace today. I'd expect them to be a lot stronger the next day and the weather conditions may be different. That isn't to take away from our win today but we are looking a bit thin in a lot of areas now and we're going to be playing a team who are now used to playing at this stage of the season.

Wasn't there a moment when Marmion played 8 too, during 1st half?

In the context of our season I would say good performance. We had a number of elements in our favour today and things have changed a lot since last season. Glasgow are still a very good team but are undoubtedly weaker than last year and we have moved on a long way from last season.
Home semi-final is incredible. Feels a bit like Ireland beating France and Australia in the last two world cups, it earns you a bit of an advantage but its no use unless you make the advantage count.

Exactly, we should take this time to be absolutely feckin delighted! We had never even qualified for the Champions Cup on our own merit before this season. A semi final would have seemed impossible 9 months ago, never mind a home semi with a realistic chance of making the final. Absolutely brilliant stuff and a far cry from the days of losing to the Borders and finishing bottom of the league

Next day will be a different challenge but we are where we want to be now. Injuries are mounting which is a concern. Two weeks to try and get a few more bodies back fit and ready. Should be a great occasion for the semi-final.

It's a proud day to support Connacht and would have gave anything to be there.
How did Ultan not get young player of the year? He put in a crazy shift.
And with green tinted glasses, top of the table baby! (Champions in my eyes no matter what happens next)

I was forced to watch it online on BBC Scotland and the commentary was simply horrendous. Borderline racist even.
Calling Connacht basic mongrels. Wasn't a red card, etc, etc.
The standard of broadcasting commentary in rugby is shocking.
Anyway, onto the game.
Ref was weak I thought. Let a lot go.
Rodney is awful. Really shocking.
SOB needs to stop giving away penalties.
Some performance though. I am not sure it will be good enough in 2 weeks time.
Pity we didn't beat Treviso to top the table to round off in style!!!

Rain spreading from East. Heatwave arrives tomorrow.
I did the darkness to light run at 4am in Salthill, when going to bed it looked like it would be a glorious day, not so much now.
