Poor performance overall with a disaster at the end . 58 secs left and you are 2 points up deep in your own half .

Ask the ref if the clock is correct.
Ask the ref have we time for the line out .
Quick chat among yourselves .
Slowly take the pen kick .
Walk to the line out
Throw to no 2
Kick ball out
Collect 4 points.

Not after timing , called this during the game .

For all the raving about Carr , he got a number of breaks that reaped nothing in the end. I felt that I'd Niyi or Healy had got the same breaks we would have scored from at least two of them. Tiernans poor effort of the Treviso no 8 for their try is one of the reasons why he hasn't been called up to Ireland .

Courage is knowing what lies on the other side and still opening the door.

I thinking more disappointment because we know their ability to play much better and more clinical rugby lately!

The stay at the top didn't last long, Glasgow are hockying Zebre, 63-10.

Massive turnout needed next week.

Scrum was a shambles but we knew they would target us there. We are really lost without Buckley. JP and Finlay were not good enough.
Robb looked excellent and I thought Cooney was great.

Big game or not next week, I think most of the comments here are fair and honest as to tonight's game. Not at all negative to call out honest opinion.

Fair play to the Italians, they wanted a win and were not going to throw in the towel at any stage.
As for Carr,a great game, such a shame he wasn't given more of a chance to show his stuff over the past season...and to think he's geting his P45....

The negativity is a little ott.

We had a lot of players coming back from injury, it started to show after a while. As has already been mentioned, the big game is, and always was going to be, against Glasgow. Hopefully there is some wounded pride that will be raring to go in a weeks time.

I agree. We were poor. They outmuscled us for most of it and showed great heart and fight. A major lesson for Blade in the last 30 seconds with his forward pass. And we were too cheeky for our own good in leaving so many on the bench. That said, we had the winning of it but our accuracy was weak. Overall, I'm sad to say we got what we deserved. Chin up for next week.

Peter Robb and Fionn Carr were both brilliant and didn't deserve to be on the losing side

Tom McCartney started pissing off Fitzgibbon which helps no one when you are the sides capatin..

Lam's gamble of not starting Muldoon, Bealham and Muldowney in the pack was very costly- but fair play to Treviso, puts them into the Champions Cup as thing stand

Fair play to Treviso.

Eight losing bonus points this season so they were never that far away and tonight everything clicked for them. Connacht supporters can identify with that.

The result is no disaster for Connacht. No matter what happened tonight they were going to have to beat Glasgow for a home semi. It's still on.

That wasn't the team performance we've come to love and enjoy over the past weeks and months, very disjointed almost like they thought it was a guaranteed 5 points for just lining out.

As for TG4 that was a shambles of a broadcast, I flagged it with them on their face book page three days ago and was basically told get saorview or virgin to watch it. It could have been shown by another station had they not been too greedy.

Have to keep checking the match clock to see how much we've skipped.
