The new craggy Island podcast is up on our home page, it's a lot less depressing than last weeks!

"Our march is quite slow y'know, when we get to where we want to get to, it's going to take time, but when we get there it's going to be fantastic." - Johnny O'Connor 2013

Yep, keeping stuff off YouTube is hard work ... I have a full time legal team scouring it!

Thanks to the clan for the bursary for our son Rory but the missus was mortified you let me sing.

Cheers.

Wouldn't mind a copy though if you have one. Just to tease Rory's brothers and sister.
I was annoyed though I didn't know that he was getting the bursary. Maoris have a way of presenting those type of things and i should have started the presentation with the haka. Oh well next time if there's anything else for Rory I will just do it.

She reckons it's already up somewhere. But that's cool as Rory would just laugh and say that sounds like the old man.

There were a few boos in the clan when the Ah You/White switch was made. Plenty of cheers when he got the ball though so I'm not sure what that means.

Had a great time in the clan terrace tonight!! i think its the first time we could relax for the second half in our three seasons as supporters! Have come home with a working voice and hardly heard a bad word to the officials; all very surreal :woohoo: . We talk about our lack of resources but our bench was lined up full with players all in matching team kit etc, theirs was practically empty and when a player came off for the sin bin players had to take off their jackets to keep him warm! What really impressed me was the clans response to the Russians, clapping them off and chanting their name at the end was fantastic and it brought smiles to their faces :) . They were great.

How annoyed would she be if we put it up on YouTube?

Rory's had a brilliant year so far, anything the Clan can do to help young players like him make the transition to professional rugby is well worth it. Great to hear him say 'playing rugby for a living is the best thing in the world'.

Important to remember that if they hadn't beaten Newcastle and/or Brive we'd be in a very different position now.

Mixed bag performance but everything worked out elsewhere and 8 tries is a decent effort in January on a poor pitch (worst I've seen the pitch in a long time, usually a good surface).

Getting the wind was useful as we could build territory and a score and ensure they hadn't anything to hang onto as the game progressed. The penalties mounted fairly quickly against them. We squandered some chances but overall after the last few weeks just relieved to be back on a positive footing.

Big thing is we had no injuries I could see. Marmion got man of the match which was deserved as he kept them honest by sniping around the fringes. Good to see Caolin Blade make an impact also. Glad he got a run here.

Ultimately the win in Siberia was crucial as every other game went with home advantage in the group. Glad to see Enesi got a good reception and they stayed committed to the end. Have been a welcome addition to the competition this season. Grenoble v Edinburgh will be interesting later.

Not much more to read into it. Still lots to do but hopefully a starting point to build for next week and the months ahead.

25 -0 at HT
BP in the bag
Still too many basic errors but we're being let off by the opposition.

Probably slight stronger team than I'd like to see but we haven't got a chance to run with that backline in a long time so I'm sure Pat wants a look ahead of Scarlets. Its better to get the job done early than be in an awkward position at the finish. We could do with running in a few tries to boost confidence ahead of next week.
