Thanks to the clan for the bursary for our son Rory but the missus was mortified you let me sing.
Cheers.

I was annoyed though I didn't know that he was getting the bursary. Maoris have a way of presenting those type of things and i should have started the presentation with the haka. Oh well next time if there's anything else for Rory I will just do it.

How annoyed would she be if we put it up on YouTube?
Rory's had a brilliant year so far, anything the Clan can do to help young players like him make the transition to professional rugby is well worth it. Great to hear him say 'playing rugby for a living is the best thing in the world'.

Important to remember that if they hadn't beaten Newcastle and/or Brive we'd be in a very different position now.

Getting the wind was useful as we could build territory and a score and ensure they hadn't anything to hang onto as the game progressed. The penalties mounted fairly quickly against them. We squandered some chances but overall after the last few weeks just relieved to be back on a positive footing.
Big thing is we had no injuries I could see. Marmion got man of the match which was deserved as he kept them honest by sniping around the fringes. Good to see Caolin Blade make an impact also. Glad he got a run here.

Not much more to read into it. Still lots to do but hopefully a starting point to build for next week and the months ahead.

BP in the bag
Still too many basic errors but we're being let off by the opposition.
