The defending champions and easily best team at the comp beat us in semi-final 26-0
Considering some of the hammerings they dished out it wasn't a bad result
Connolly seemed to hobble of though vs Daveta which is worrying
Connacht play Golden Lions (who we beat in Group Stage) for 3rd Place Play Off

Qualter had a great game, scoring a try. Gaffney scored an intercept - can't remember who got our 1st try as I may have ODied on Rugby this weekend. Robbs tackling and carrying again impressive. Did well to win considering we were down to 5 players for last 2 minutes (Layden got a harsh second yellow so given red and Gaffney got sin binned aswell)

Maul was very effective - all 4 tries effectively came from it
Twice Marmion broke from the tail of it and sidestepped a defender to score his two
Nepia (Sionnach) got third and was very "nuisancey" at ruck time
Bundee looked Pre-Edinburgh injury good, got rather harsh YC
Scrum strong at start but kinda came under pressure at the end
Defence very strong
Dillane deserves special mention - his tackling appetite is fantastic, absolute ANIMAL
Not gonna sneeze at a 28-12 point win in Thomond Park, even if just preseason
Bad news:
McSharry went off with seemingly head injury
Leader went off before half time
Roux went off after coming on for second half

Thanks for the day's summary wp_rathead. Sounds like a solid outing for the lads. Thought 7s might suit Carr, would be great if he could recapture some of that finishing skill this season with the 15s.
Connacht beat Ulster (who seemed to not want to be there) 36-10
Lost to the second best team (only Daveta the Fijians looked better) 19-10 (losing 12-0 HT and got back to 12-10)
Then beat a very good Golden Lions team 21-19
Carr got 5 tries throughout the day
Gaffney showed he very exciting player
Peter Robb confirmed what we assumed - he is a TANK
