Connacht have been better this half but I wonder if that try won't just revitalise Gloucester.

That cross field kick was never on, and then it goes behind the winger.

If Ronaldson is fit enough to be on the bench he has to be brought on here to try and offer something to the easy counter-attacking ball we are gifting to the Gloucester back 3.

George travelled so he must be a spare. He's in the pictures of the Captain's run.Decadence wrote: Where is George? Ronaldson must not be 100% or he'd be starting ahead of Jack.

Yep, the two most prominent omissions alright. I thought George had a great game for first 50 until McKeown made his cameo appearance.(hope he's 100% for this trip). Pat mustn't have seen video's of Mul at Eight in the past, he simply lacks the pace off the back on our ball to play there.
I can't believe that Craig isn't starting at ten except for injury, there's no argument left in my mind at all that he's the better option when fit...
That';s a decent Gloucester side, Rodney will need to work his ass off at scrum time against that front row...
But I'd love to be having a cut at them with a few more of our first team-ers fit... I'd fancy our chances then....

I'm disappointed to see Mils starting at full back, and surprised to see George missing altogether. I would agree that Ronaldson is probably being eased back in, and depending on how it goes tomorrow, should start vs Ulster. Looking forward to the trip over to Gloucester now. Pity about it being good Friday, as a lot of people won't be able to partake in the beer or hog roast

Its a pity we are missing so many with injuries. Poolman at 13??
I'd have put Poolman on the wing. Mills to 13 and Toh to 15.
Poolman just doesnt look great at 13

Marmion is lucky Cooney isn't registered for Europe.
Carty over Ronaldson? I'm in the minority in that I really like Jack Carty as a player but I thought his kicking dead from a penalty last week was the moment we lost the game.
Likewise TOH, I'm a fan but Darragh Leader can feel unlucky to be left out for him after last week.
Mul at 8? Why not put him at 7 and Masterson at 8 so there's only one player out of position?
George - dropped or rested?
Delighted to see that 12 of the 23 - TOH, Henshaw, Jack, Kieran, Denis, Browney, Masterson, Mul, Delahunt, Bealham, Connolly & Darragh - are Connacht natives and/or came through our academy. In our last quarter final 5 years ago, the number was 6.
