To be honest they looked a little tentative in going after the try bonus. Wasn't sure it was going to happen until La Rochelle went down a man. Exeter were clearly the better side, but La Rochelle played some good rugby and maybe the margin of victory was a bit unfair to them.

And the bonus point finished off by Vainikolo as La Rochelle cave in. Another 5 for Exeter next week so they'll be on 16 points by the time they visit the Sportsground.

Half time 7-17. Exeter getting two tries with relative ease after building the pressure for a few minutes before, going close to scoring a try twice. La Rochelle not exactly helping their own cause with some hail mary offloading but its making it interesting if nothing else. I'll be very surprised if Exeter don't notch up the bonus point but at least the try for La Rochelle will keep them interested.

Pity to see Exeter in this competition. They are a European Cup team in reality and even minus so many players still play good rugby.
